Pacifist Mods

In Oblivion, violent mods are the easiest mods to create, so there are lots of them available. Does anyone know of any good quest, adventure, or activity mods that have a lot of play-value but are not so violent? Some of my characters are in non-violent classes. (Can you imagine a Healer rushing into a dungeon and ruthlessly slaughtering everyone just for kicks?)

"Let the people drink" is a good one that has no fighting at all. The link is above. There are numerous quests in "Kragenir's Death Quest" that have no violence in them. (Though KDQ is really 1 mod made up of many quests....) It's link is below

Enhanced Economy has quests that you can get from merchants once you have enough reputation and have sold or bought enough loot from them. But usually they require you to go where there are hostiles. If you were sneaky enough I bet you could complete the quests without fighting anything. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=25078#fileanchor

The Ayleid steps is similar to Enhanced Economy in that the quests themselves do not require you to kill anything, but usually send you to places that are very unsafe. The quests should be completable without having to actually kill anything though if you can manage it and the mod is quite large and time consuming to complete. (unless you cheat and use the walkthrough :P)

These are some that I can think of. The last 2 are also good because they are compatible with so many mods, including Unique landscapes and other major overhaul mods. Of course, Enhanced Economy is first and foremost an economy mod and not a quest mod, but it does add a lot of quests.

Here is another good one I forgot.

"Thieves Arsenal" http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=9655

It's an extension of the thieves guild of sorts. It often sends you to various dungeons where you are supposed to steal something of value from it's very hostile occupants. One major stipulation, of course, is that you can't kill anything while doing so. (There are numerous tools made available to make such a daunting task possible)

I was going to create a quest where you act as a medic. Once it's done, I could link you to it once it's done. Would that count?

EDIT:

Well, there are enemies in the quest, but it's not neccesary to fight. Not certain if it fits or not.

David, I posted a lot of links in this thread for a pacifist player. PC jobs, working farms, etc. A lot of Korana's mods are great for more peaceful rp. You will also notice a link to your own work. It was a search request, really, so I have not tried all of them but I use a lot of them.

There's a new mod called Golden Perch (yes, a Tolkien inn) which lets you run the inn. I've been in troubleshooting mode so I have not been able to play it yet.

I really need to make a formal list of these things and upload it. This question comes up surprisingly often. I prefer to play good characters, so a lot of the most famous quests don't really suit my preferences. I appreciate modders like yourself who make some mods which are more suitable for good and even pacifistic characters.

If you search on "treasure" you can find some treasure hunt mods I think a pacifist rogue might be able to sneak.

The Student Mod would probably be pretty balanced if you made yourself try to obtain all the books without killing anyone.

Vector makes the healing professions more important. You could probably use a PC merchant or shop mod to be a professional apothecary since NPCs try to cure themselves. I think I'll try that next, actually. Could be really interesting.

Escort Mission might be better for a paladin type than a healer, but since the purpose is to keep the NPC alive, a pacifist healer could theoretically do it.

Rooftop Rewards doesn't have a very strong rp reason to exist, but it's nice to have a mod for acrobats. There's an acrobat guild mod here also but from the comments section, that one sounds as though it was in early stages still when the author gave up, alas.

Thanks for all the responses everyone! I will have to download some of these.

I haven't had much luck with Escort Mission. Everyone always dies. The people you escort always seem to want to go to the extreme opposite edge of Cyrodiil, and they get killed in the first or second battle when you have only traveled like a quarter or half of a kilometer.

It looks like there are some good things here.

Vows and Covenants is really good mod, I translated it to russian myself. It took me nearly two weeks to do it.

But you would need a... special character for one of those vows, because they influent your char's life very much.

Integration: The Stranded Light is very non-violent. (80+ quests with only like 6 that force you to fight anything and in most of them you can get out of fighting the enemy directly and use some weakness or 'trick' instead.)

Et in arkay ego (no violence required at all)

certain thief mods like Thieves arsenal andthat other one... forget its name at the moment.

NPCs yield

I have two topics likethis saved on my computer at home so I should be able to ad more later.

I'm currently trying to go through with a pretty pacifistic character. Really having trouble trying to think ofhow I'd deal with certain quests situations without directly killing anoyone or feeling responsible. I mean summons/frenzy spell I feel less responsible for, but poisions (the game doesn't count NPCs being killed by poisons as a murder or being killed by you), or reflect spell effects thosefeel kind of cheap and braking the point of beinga pacifist. WhatI'd really like is a surrender or enslavement mod where you can be like:

" I never want to see you again!"

or:

"Your old life is over..."

Where it would basically keep the NPC alive, but in terms of quests and such they would be considered dead.
