SamF1sher
Right, so i have Fallout 3 goty that i bought from steam. I was having problems with steam so i uninstalled steam but little did i know that all my games would be uninstalled with it. so when i reinstalled steam, i redownloaded all my games and thney all worked, except fallout 3. even new vegas worked fine. I had quite a few mods installed, about 30 and a few FOMODs, but i had the same with new vegas and there is no problems. when i start fallout 3, it gets to the please wait thing and then it crashes to a black screen. I have deleted and redownloaded 3 or 4 times and it does the same thing. I updated video card drivers, but nothing. I have tried every fix on the internet that i can find, nothing works. What it seems to me is that steam is not fully uninstalling, just deleting the major stuff and redownloading it, because it doesnt do the first time setup that steam always does with newley installed games. Also, i find that in the fallout 3 directory, there are some folders that are from various mods and there is the installer exe for geck which i had in there before, but it shouldnt be in there for a clean install. when compared to a friend who has the game, with no mods, my directory doesnt match it, there is stuff in mine that shouldnt be there. I have tried uninstalling with programs and features but it does nothing. I just cant seem to get the game to fully reinstall. It has been about a week since sending steam a message but they havent answered (it ussually only takes a few days with steam) so any help is apreciated.
