Reset all quests to zero -OR- Start new game with current inventory and stats?

I actually don't think that accomplishes what I am looking for at all. I think that is kind of the opposite of what I am looking for. Unless I missed something.

He means since that you want the face, just use an old save before existing the vault.

"She"

Right, that's the simplest way to do it. I may be a little more computer literate than some people, but it gets complex to even think of "Face Ripper" and whatnot. I will get there when I get there. But for your need, why not just load the old save? If you are literate enough to play FO4, you can do that. No Faceripping needed. Either that or I miss your question entirely. I personally hate people misunderstanding me, so pardon me and do tell me if I am wrong.

There is a misunderstanding here, I am capable of using face ripper (I may have undersold my computer literacy a little, but I'm certainly no modder), my issue is that the face is the least of my concerns. What I want is to start the game from scratch in terms of settlements, companions, quests, etc, but keep my appearance, inventory, level, special stats and perks.

Sorry for the miscommunication.

It's looking like the only way to do this is either use face ripper or load the save from just after character creation, and fill in the gaps with console commands. Damn thats going to be a lot of work.

Think i get what you want. However resetting quests will not work, it resets the quests but will not resurrect any quest npc's that got killed or questbitems as far as i know, so will be a problem for anyone using your save with quests reset through console.

One solution is:

Go to 3th person mode open console select your character (id 00000014) type: showinventory

-That gives you the itemcodes of all the stuff you are carrying. Write the id's down

-Not sure if you can see total XP but find out and write the number down

-Start a new game and make a new save after exiting the vault.

-Use faceripper to transfer the looks of your character to the new save

-Load the new save, open the console and type player.modav experience X (x is the number of experience of your other character) and choose all the perks again and set the stats.

-Open the console again and type: player.additem X 1 (X use the id's you got from the showinventory command) repeat for every item.

Keep in mind stats modified by reading magazines, rebuild any weapons and armor you modded because the id given will generate a random piece of the weapon or armor. (if you have a light combat armor the code given through showinventory is for combat armor but a random piece. So you could get a heavy piece and need to try a couple of times untill you get the correct piece)

Also keep in mind people will have to also install any mods you use for the savegame to work properly and to get any items your character carries from mods.

Yeah, that's exactly what I am looking for, thanks. I suspected there would be a problem with random pieces of weapons and armor. I can modify those to spec by adding the modifications through console commands as well can I not?

Also, I was planning on listing my mods in two categories, required (to match screen-shots and such) and recommended. Damn it's going to be a lot of work. Thanks again for your time.

Well, I had to use a ton of console commands, and a mod to create a workshop anywhere so I could upgrade my weapons to spec, but I did it. My level 52 character starts the game from Sanctuary just after leaving Vault 111 with a full host of perks, special stats, and inventory. Save game can be found here for anyone interested: http://www.nexusmods.com/fallout4/mods/9214/?

Thanks to everyone who tried to help me figure this out.
