I'm not a modder, so don't laugh, but I have a question and/or a mod suggestion?

Would it be possible to merge the Unofficial Skyrim Legendary patch with the Unofficial Skyrim patch so I could still keep some of my old mod favorites?

If possible, the merge would need to be in a form where Loot would see it as there and the DLCs would need to be brought in since there's older patches for them too.

Right now, if I use older mods, like Breezehome, Loot says I need the old Unofficial Skyrim Patch, but the newer mods say they need the legendary patch aka USLEEP. But I can't have both, they won't work together? Why can't the game just take what it needs from any files I have in there, do they have to be in patches?

There is already a method to go about "updating" your old mods to work with the legendary patch using TES5Edit. Assuming you already have the old Unofficial Skyrim patches loaded, just load the mods you want to 'update' unto TES5Edit and change the required master files to the Unofficial Skyrim Legendary patch.

You shouldn't need to remake anything from scratch in order to update the master dependencies, since USLEEP and USKP have the same resources with the same formIDs.

Well the original creation date of many of my house mods was way before the last version of the unofficial patches even before the official updates which screwed up the navmesh in breezehome and the DLCs came out. The way this buggy game works it seems to like it when I start over from scratch. Also I did not make my mods with cleaned masters and proper understanding of things originally so it would be better to start over. I just wish that there was some kind of copy paste script or something to run between to instances of the CK to just visually copy items and their settings from a cell in a mod from one instance to the new blank slate default cell in the other instance.
