VVAREZ Posted January 25, 2016 Share Posted January 25, 2016 I am having some problems with DoF(vanilla and ENB) after installing a dof removal. So I decide the best way to get rid of this problem is to uninstall the game and make a fresh install but I have 153 installed mods. I did it for FO3 and NV with FOMM and since all the paths were the same, everything still worked fine. Maybe wait for someone else to reply though. I haven't done it with NMM. Gilibran Posted January 26, 2016 Share Posted January 26, 2016 If you did not install NMM to your Steam/fallout 4 folder, simply deactivate and uninstall all mods in NMM. Uninstall FO4 via Steam, go to the Steam folder and if there is still a FO4 folder there delete it. Steam only uninstalls original FO4 files, if you manually installed mods there will still be a FO4 folder left in Steamapps with some not vanilla files, in your case there will probably only be some ENB files left. Delete it once you made sure the NMM modfolder is not in it and reinstall the game. Also back up your savegames in My games and delete the savegame folder. If your not on SSD defrag the HD before installing again. You can find the zipfiles of the mods you downloaded in > Nexus Mod Manager\Fallout4\Mods Start up the game after re install once so the ini files are created, back them up before you change them for modding, and then reinstall your mods via NMM. The filepaths should still be the same and you should not have any problems. If you have the disk space i suggest, before installing any mods, to back up the entire FO4 folder. That way you can quickly revert to vanilla instead of having to download it again. It's important to re install all mods that you used in the savegames, if there are any mods you do not want anymore make sure you uninstall them following the readme of the mod first (some require more then just uninstalling via NMM) and make a save without it active before you uninstall FO4. Once you have all the mods re installed and loadorder is correct, copy the savegames back into Mygames and they should work. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
