Avego
I shall tell ye a story, a tale of dissapointment and bewilderment, a ballad describing the horror I encountered upon discovering one of the most harsh of all truths...Me' bloody Construction don't work no more! To be exact, I am using the latest patch for Oblivion and the Shivering Isles 1.2.0.416 to be precise. I have the latest version of the construction set as far as I'm aware - 1.2.404. Now the problem that occurs whenever I start the Construction Set exe. is a barrage of messages reading the following, which has been conveniently recorded as a 'bug report' which leads me to believe I'm no the only one to have had this error and that Bethesda is aware of its existence...Still I can't find a solution, at least not in English. The messages read: Unable to load CTL fileCannot load the atmosphere model.Cannot load the stars.Cannot load the clouds. Each being a seperate message which follow on from one another, selecting es to continue running the program leads to the CS crashing with the familiar 'send an error report crap' which I can make no head nor tail of. I have reinstalled the Construction set multiple times from two different souces and re-patched Oblivion just to be sure... On top of that my Oblivion games not working now either, just crashing before loading the Bethesda logo. I guess they don't want to know I'm on to them... So...If any bright folks have any possible solutions to my Construction set woes, I'd be most appreciative, as this is really P'ing me off. Its already the second time I had to replace the Oblivion disc. And its not a game worth £50, especially if I have to slog through errors such as these everytime I load it up. Avego
Thanks for all the replies in such a short space of time... But I fixed it, it was the Oblivion master file and the texture/meshes bsa's which were playing up...Fixed by a full reinstall. Now I've got to spend the rest of the day reinstalling all those mods. Buggar.
