Spudscorner
Has anyone had the problem of the CS crashing whenever you try and save? I have gone so far as uninstalled all Oblivion components from my system and starting from scratch. I have tried CS Vs. 1.2, 1.2 with the new patch, 1.2.0.4 installer and still nothing. I have tried saving to different files and brand new files. I do have the file set as active when I am trying an existing file. If any one has a clue on how to stop this please let me know. I feel like a junkie craving a fix.
mezlo
Does this happen with any mod you try to save or just your current project? If it's just your current project, then I would guess that file is corrupt and would try a backup of it. Mez

Mez I am now going to go and cry in the corner while banging my head against the wall all the while screaming BACKUP! BACKUP! BACKUP! >:( . Then I will start my mod again at about 40 or 50 hrs work ago. :( Just having my mod in the data directory stops the CS from saving. I don't get it but I will remember to back up from now on. Abramul
You might try exporting portions and importing them to the new one. Think the option's in the File menu. Don't know how you would go about this, but someone else probably does.
mezlo
Another thing to try is to save a backup of your current mod, then start removing recent changes via the Details button when you load the file. If you're lucky, it will let you save the mod minus whatever is causing the crash. Mez PS - If you're willing to send me a copy I'll spend time trying to recover it as well. I never had this problem before until i updated the CS to the latest version, and this is on a fresh install, seems Bethesda just created problems in the new version. I had no bugs whatsoever in the last version. Im yet to find out what the problem is, my guess is my PC is conflicting and im screwed. >:( "Just been stuffing around with the CS, seems to lock up whenever im in landscape editing mode!" dipodrsc
Happened to me when I loaded all of the .esms (all of the Knights of the Nine, Oblivion, Shivering Isles and my mod), but when i loaded just a few at once it works fine. Might be why it freezes for you, try loading only Oblivion.esm and your mod
Spudscorner
I appreciate everyone's help but I finally gave up last night and spent most of the night rebuilding everything from scratch. Mezlo was kind enough to put all the new scripts into a mod for me so they were all saved. Anyway thanks for the help and the suggestions.
