Mod Conflicts cause CTD, Help Please

Hey just to get it out there I am a semi-experienced mod user, I know what OMODs are and how to make/use them.

Anyway, after roughly 9 consecutive hours of installing mods, various patches, plugins, and other required files, I finally get my Oblivion mod load order the way I want it.

But who, oh who I ask, could have forseen a CTD after everything was said and done. Shocking I know. Anywho, here is my question, I have posted some screenies of my OBMM screen below, the first screenshot shows my simple, dumbed down, perfectly working load order (Organized by BOSS). The second one shows my load order after activating all the OMODs that are inactive in the first screenshot. In the second screenshot I also put together the install order of those OMODs, which I am convinced is wrong but havent the gumption to try any other order.

So anyway, loading OBMM using the setup of the second screenie causes me to CTD after about 15-20 seconds of a black screen, which is normal for me as I have a pretty full Textures/Meshes folder (The black screen is normal, the CTD isn't)

I already know the issue, I have patches for mods that I dont have, and mods that need patches that I dont have, but it is also most likeley my install method of these mods. I have no clue as to which mods go where and should be installed when and was hoping that a more experienced Nexus user could guide me in the right direction. Mainly what I need is:

What mods should I install/re-install/uninstall

What patches i need to add/remove

Where should I put (insert mod here) in the load order

Which mods should I activate/deactivate or ignore alltogether

Please include any links to mods/patches/fixes that I need to use and if possible a small guide on the use of each

Anybodys help would be appreciated on this, as I simply do not have the time to spend another 9 hours searching for all the proper things I need to get everything working right. This was my only vacation for another 2 months after all.

P.S. My oblivion.ini file is completley vanilla except whatever the OMODs change (if anything) and my edit of the bUseBorderRegions=1 line in which I changed the 1 to a 0 (required for Elsweyr Deserts of Anequina mod)

Also, In refrence to any UAC comments that may/will come up I do have my game installed in my Program Files and I am planning to re-install everything to the Games folder instead. I just want to get some clear advice on the mods first before I do any serious install/reinstall. So far the only time UAC has blocked me so far (Aside from the possibility that one of the OMODs is being blocked) Is when I accidentley pressed the V hotkey for Deadl Reflex, which from what I saw is some sort of overhead strike towards the ground, it crashes me halfway through that animation.

You'll probably hate me for saying this, but I don't think there is any "glaring errors" apparent that will magically resolve your problems here.

Unfortunately, as the veterans here will probably also point out if they contribute to your thread, it is a case of installing and then testing each mod/ alteration to your game pretty much one by one.

It is ultimately very time consuming, and the point being here that invariably it is simply not possible to gather a shedload of mods and then chuck them into your game and expect everything to work flawlessly. But don't worry, I've tried it and failed miserably on several occasions....truth be told, I expect a lot of people have taken this approach to "save precious time" - but it doesn't work, assured.

DR6 is a potential CTD candidate if you haven't followed instructions very carefully, I expect you've gathered that from the amount of posts about it. Also OBGE Liquid Water requires some careful installation, there's a lot of tweaks required to get it working correctly though I doubt anything that would cause CTD.

You have OBSE installed and use the launcher to start I take it?

I would recommend Wrye Bash too, trust me if I can install and work it with reasonable success, anyone can...the bashed patch will enable a lot of mods to work "together". You can still use OBMM as well. With WB you have all your apps accessible from the bottom bar, so you can add mods, sort load order, (re)build bash patch and then run Tes4LODGen.

I hope you're not put off and will persevere!

First off, thank you for the reply, was kind of losing hope. Second I know what the major problem is, I think its the OMODs that I have, all I need is the right patches and stuff, and as for DR6 the only problem I have with it is UAC, to fix that I am going to re-install oblivion in my Games folder. So yeah thanks again and I hope this narrows it down a little more. Anybody who has/has used these mods together at any point your help is REALLY appreciated!

Incidentally, I also download a lot of mods and I have found that as long as you keep the number of additions around five or so, it's pretty easy to work out which mod was the "lemon".

Also watch out for BSA files. Those are the ones that give me the most crashes.
