Now, my problems:

-I don't think I ever witness any fog weather in Oblivion ever. Once I did, and the rest of the times I forced it with the console command. (FW 38eef). The problem is hard to describe, so here be a picture to speak a thousand words for ya'.

If you have read my mod list, you would see that I am NOT running any sort of weather mod. HOWEVER, I used to run AWS. I recently uninstalled it after I realized I was running it with Natural Weather's HDR Dark Nights Weather mod. (I'm a smart one, huh?)

The other problem is that when I kill any enemy with magic (or 'Kill' console command), the enemy usually dies ina ver peculiar manner. The first way is that the enemy could die standing straight up, sitting in a awkward position, or such. The second one is more whacky. When this happens, the enemy noclips everywhere. Not only that; the enemy always moves around the map, seemingly randomly, through walls, through everything. I can't pick up any loot! The enemy always seems to glitch like this when standing straight up. I never see a body "laying down" noclipping around. Also, this never happens when I kill an enemy with only a sword. With an enchanted sword that does magic damage, the enemy may very well glitch if the enchantment kills him, rather than blunt sword damage. I've found that reflected damage ALSO can cause this glitch, so any type of magic kill could result in this. I would say that 90% of the time, when an enemy dies by magic, this happens. I would also say that 100% of the time, when an enemy is killed by 'kill' or 'killall' command, this happens.

My next problem is a more minor one... When I go down in water, the bottom of a deep ocean would be black. I can't see it from near the surface of the water, looking down. Once I get to the "blackness", I suddenly am able to see the actual ocean floor. My best guess is that the Natural Enviroments' water mod is conflicting with the Alive Waters mod... But, the author of Alive Waters said it wouldn't conflict... I will test more soon. Oh, as you can see in the picture, the ship on the right is blue-ish, some dumb thing is going on someway, somehow.

As you may have read the last thing on my modlist, the "My own mod" part, you'd probably start pointing fingers there. But don't be too quick. I've managed to take off that mod, and I've tested the above 3 problems, and my mod does not seem the be causing it. Give me some time, I might be able to individually test each and every mod I have to see which is causing what... but that will take forever, and I want to see what you guys have to say.

I suppose the first question is, have you ever run BOSS--Better Oblivion Sorting Software? I suggest it, if you haven't.

The next point is to read the documentation for each of the mods you've applied. I would like to assume you have, but it's surprising how many people don't, and this causes all sorts of anomalies due to incompatibilities between the mods.

I've seen BOSS, but when I saw it, I didn't have any problems, so I never bothered getting it. Guess now would be a good time, haha. Yes, I have read the documentation. Unless I missed a document or two on accident, I've got that covered. Thanks for the reply.

EDIT:

The fact that many times, if I take out a mod, the game crashes, is very annoying. It makes it hard and time-consuming to try each and every mod. And what if it's a combination of mods that did this? I will try BOSS now. I will let you know how it goes. :)

EDIT:

I got this:

Critical Error: Master .ESM file not found!

Check the Troubleshooting section of the ReadMe for more information and possible solutions.

Utility will end now.

I have told the installer to install in the data folder... I don't get it.

EDIT:

I see. The installer's direction is a little misleading. Problem fixed. However, I am now barraged by a huge collection of data I don't know how to deal with. :wallbash:

Another EDIT:

I understand now, my oder list got re-arranged. However, this did not fix a single problem I have mentioned. On the bright side, didn't cause any problems either. Maybe I'll stick with this loading order.

BUT I'M STILL DIEING OUT HERE! :nuke:

OK, how are you installing and uninstalling mods? By hand, or are you using OMODs or BAIN? Specifically, how did you install Natural Environments, and how did you remove Natural Weather?

Every time, I manually add items into the data folder. I removed AWS by forcing weather to clear weather on Oblivion, then removing them from the Data folder.

EDIT:

I tried taking off the Alive waters mods, nothing. I tried taking off the Natural Enviroments Water mod. Nothing.

EDIT:

I've removed pretty much all mods. All 3 problems still exist... What....

Ok, it's a really good idea to use OMOD or BAIN installs rather than installing by hand. The reason is that if you ever uninstall you might miss something. Also BAIN can actually roll back your changes. OMODs make sure you don't miss anything.

I'm going to hope I am wrong here and that isn't your problem. First question. Have you done archive invalidation to get textures to show up properly? Second question, have you run TES4LODGen to get your distance landscapes to show up properly? If not, you're going to want to do that now. For the archive invalidation, read this. http://cs.elderscrol...ve_Invalidation

--------------------

Adding, ok....just read that latest. Try not to panic and start doing random things. I know it's frustrating.Do you have Wrye Bash? Do you have a bashed patch? Have you tried to refresh your .ini? If not, do NOT do anything to the ini in your Oblivion game folder. The .ini you want to regenerate is the one in My Games>Oblivion, where your saves folder should also be. Rename that to something like Oblivion.ini.old, and launch the game. It will force the game to make a brand new .ini. Remember, do NOT do anything to the one in your Oblivion folder where the game is. Only the one in MyGames with the saves.

When the instruction on a document tells me to do archive invalidation, I always do it. When it's not in there, I don't. And no, I don't use BAIN. I'm not "new" to this stuff, but I'm not knowledgeable, lol. I will google TES4LodGen now. Hopefully directions won't hurt my little brain.

EDIT: The Lodgen seems to be stuck in "Lod Generator Starting" I have 2 Olbivion directories. Can this be causing the problem?

EDIT: Changed name or "Data" folder made by the BOSS. It seems to be loading normally now.

It's ok, most people get into a mess with Oblivion at some point. You're clearly smart. Hopefully someone like Hickory or bben will come along with more and better ideas soon.

Sometimes modders don't mention that you need to do archive invalidation. What method are you using for that? Redirection?

Adding: Are you saying you have two copies of the game on your computer or is that other Oblivion directory in MyGames or somewhere? What is inside the second one?

My laziness prevents me from reading and fully grasping the ways about Archive Invalidation. If they "forget to mention it" (Then the author has some issues...), I just don't do anything.

I got TES4LodGen working. It says it worked successfully, but no problems have been solved yet.

Do you think I could temporarily solve the fog problem with console commands? I'll give it a shot.

EDIT: It was a longshot, so I didn't expect it to work, and it did not. All it did was push back the fog. This also fixed the rocks and objects closest to me (objects not under fog), but the further areas still got glitched up.

The thing about this situation is, it is not annoying enough to warrant reinstalling Oblivion and the mods, but it is annoying enough to be annoying.
