tramsleeper
Hello again, I just wondered what people make of this. I finished the corprus quest, got cured and then returned to Sadrith Mora. I was dissed by everyone - zero rating, no amount of gold would help (some of the comments were actually quite funny, though). As the Mage Guide flatly refused to zap me back to Balmora, I had to make my way over land (well, I used levitate for a lot of it), Got as far as Suran, where once again I was very popular - must be Sadrith Mora 'don't like the Nevarvarine' thing, I thought. However, when I got back to Balmora, people started to hate me again. Zero rating - even the Spymaster!! although it didn't stop him from sending me off on the next part of the quest. So I went to Vivec (thankfully I had the Dragon rider plugin as the Balmora Silt Strider chap refused service..uh!!) expecting a rough reception. But no - the residents of Vivic all loved me.!! What is going on? To make it worse, I now have a huge bounty on my head after laying waste to the Minstry of Truth Ordinators in my ham-fisted rescue of Milo. Thing is, she won't play ball, as she didn't want anything to do with a notorious outlaw!! The cheek! I usually have the price on my head removed by the Blamora Thieves Guide chap, but chance is he'll hate me and refuse service. The bounty is so high it is a death penalty now so dropping everything and paying won't work. I am trying to find this Crazy Legs in Vivec to get the bounty removed, but I don't know where he hangs out. Anyone know? Apart from the bounty, does anyone know why some towns hate me and others love me? And what can I do about this. A Amstvi blessing has been suggested although - I will try that. Anyone else had the same experience. Best Tramsleeper
Marxist ßastard
MAYBE IT'S BECAUSE YOU CAN'T SEEM TO FIGURE OUT HOW TO TURN CAPSLOCK OFF WHEN ENTERING YOUR TITLE... ...Or maybe it's just because you set your personality to a level that's too low... Iluventi
ouch! :P Try going to a imperial shrine, and donating gold or wahtever, then choose Almsivi Restoration...or whatever it's called ^_^ edit - ok....my post doesn't make any sense in relation to the original post....wierd...my brain must have stopped...my bad, sorry ^_^
Malchik
Were you in the mages guild? If so it sounds like you have been expelled. Check this in your stats. Also, unless you play as telvanni most of Sadrith Mora is unfriendly. Quickest way to get round it is deal with the haunting and then raise the topic. Each time you do the disposition of the NPC will be raised several points in your favour. No need to close the dialogue box either. Usually it stops somewhere between 70 and 90. For the few individuals who don't have that option in the dialogue box you can try persuasion or bribery (or ignoring them).
tramsleeper
Thanks - but have not been expelled from Mages Guild - even the spymaster is at zero! I don't know what to think. By the way, my personality currently stands at 121.. pretty high. Tramsleeper
TSBasilisk
Weird. Did you kill Divayth or any of his relatives before leaving? That would REALLY jeopardize your standing with Caius and any Telvanni. Crazy Legs is in the book store in the Canalworks of the Foreign Quarter. tramsleeper
No I didn't. But, come to think of it, I did free that slave behind the gold door in the basement. She asked me to return some trinket to her father in Ald Ruhn - which I haven't yet done. Don't know if that could affect my standing, though. Oh - hang on - slavery is a way of life in Sadrith Mora, isn't it? Could this be the reason? Tramsleeper
Kirlack
No, the "slave" is from a different quest altogether (house Redoran i think) Maybe try an earlier save and redo the Corprus quest?
