Making separate nif files line up in game ? (example weapon mods & mag)

Hi, I am trying to add mods to the G3 battle rifle I release earlier this week. for example a reflex sight I exported my sight model into a .nif format with 3dsmax and copied the new model in the vanilla .nif. Now my mod shows up in game but it's not lining up with the weapon it floats in the air. There must be something simple I am missing here. Thanks for the help.

When opening your weapon nif in NifSkope. Search for CPA (BSConnectPoints:Parents) and add a connection point. This point tells the game where the attachment is located. Just take look at the vanilla weapons to figure out how this works. Make sure the CPA is linked in the Main NiNode at Extra Data List.
