drakeelvin
I was checking out this latest patch loading a test character in Goodsprings and Chet was charging me 4 caps per round of 5.56 ammo but he had a new equivalent type called .223 that does less damage and increases gun wear, that was 1 cap per round. My barter skill on that guy is pretty low, 17 I think, but IIRC he previously charged 2 caps so the price of 5.56mm has roughly doubled in this patch? On the upside, it seemed to me the starter weapons begin in a little bit better shape than they did before, perhaps to compensate for this. And Trudy was paying more than before for the Gecko hides and meat. Anyone else noticed a price increase in other ammo types? I wonder, because when you buy everything you want you don't have a lot of caps left over even by the endgame so if ammo has doubled in price maybe its time to go with melee? :P Edited April 26, 2011 by drakeelvin
longprong
I personnally found that there is never any shortage of ammo to be found so long as you are not too fussy what type it is.So I do not purchase ammo from dealers - just means I have to use the weapons with ammo available in stock and be careful that every bullet counts.Accumulating money, even after modding my weapons soon becomes no problem as the game progresses.I only need to hard scavange and sell to raise money in the early stages but after that it gets a bit too easy.
