multiple soul gems per enchantment

being able to use more than one gem to enchant an item - is ther a mod like this already out? if not is this possible?

 

i just think this would be a great way to make those really godly items that cant be found elsewhere, but the flipside to balance the game should be a much higher cost to enchant

Most of the stuff used for enchantment is hard coded, you can only use 1 for enchanting. While I suppose you could probably put together something though scripting which would let you combine lower soulgems into larger ones, it would still be limited to the preset strengths (petty -> grand) and the values those soulgems have (this probably already exists, if not it wouldn't be too hard to throw together). However, if you're after some sort of godly item, it's really just easier to make it with the construction set and place it in world somewhere.

There is one Mod, "Bigger Souls for Soulgems" out, I use it.

 

I'm not sure how it affects enchanting, I belive that for Weapons, it can make them more Powerfull than in Vanilla, but for Armour and Apperal the limit remains the same (+10 to a Stat or Skill f.ex.)

 

Petty Soulgems contain 500-points, and Grand up to 3000.

 

I know there are mods that allow you to create Spells more Powerfull than the Vanilla Limit (100 Damage and/or 120 Second duration). Not sure what the new limits of the Spells become, if there even IS a Limit to how high damag/duration you can get. But I believe the Damage Limit is set to 200 in the one I saw.

Most of those mods either affect the values associated with the various grades of soulgems, or the costs associated with the spells. The one that allows larger limits is a change to an .xml file to change the slider values. Neither would allow more than one soulgem to be used per enchantment. While you are correct, you are only limited by those settings, it's really easier to just stick a weapon or armor made in the CS than to keep playing with those settings, since changing those settings can also bleed onto other aspects of the game.
