ImNotCrazy44
Are there any tweaks/mods that make the game perform better like there are for Oblivion? It seems that no matter what settings I use, I still have the same frame rate issue that are evident and them subside back and forth...I would have thought they would dramatically get worse with slightly higher settings, but apparently not. Thandal
Are there any tweaks/mods that make the game perform better...More RAM, faster CPU, better graphics card. That's about it. DA is a very hardware-intensive game. What are your rig's specs?
revan1988
Also, what resolution are you running the game on?
ImNotCrazy44
intel core 2 duo (p7450) at 2.13 GHzwindows 7 32 bitnvidia geforce 9600 graphics card I've tried running the game on just about every possible resolution setting, all the graphics/texture setting...and none seem to make a HUGE impact whether for better or worse...even on the lowest setting for everything i still end up with a bit of lag every couple min. Thandal
Which drivers for the 9600? nVidia released new ones on Apr 18, latest is: 270.61. Told they make a BIG difference for players who were having some specific performance problems. Speaking of nVidia, found this from about a year ago on the BSN: "Found a way to boost..."I'm getting an extra 20FPS. How? I went into the Nvidia control panel -> manage 3D settings -> Dragon Age There is an option called "Threaded Optimization". It says it allows the program to take advantage of multiple CPUs I have a dual core so I thought I'd try it, forced it on.... Wow. Big difference. Give it a try! ImNotCrazy44
Ah, thank you kindly :) I used those both of those and have significantly less trouble while using much better settings than I thought I'd be able to use.
