TreasureChest
Hello there. I am having a problem with replacing an existing hat in New Vegas. The hat im trying to replace is the "Old Cowboy Hat" and i've tried a method explained by Ghogiel but before that tried on my own. Either way, the results are the same. I'm posting pictures as well so that you can see what the problem is. I have no problems with replacing/importing custom helmets in Skyrim, but this seems weird. The mesh seems fine in 3ds max and nifskope, so im not sure what the problem is, i could upload a .3ds file or an .obj file if anyone wants to check it out. http://thumbnails105.imagebam.com/46251/d17109462500966.jpg http://thumbnails105.imagebam.com/46251/78542b462500996.jpg Edited January 31, 2016 by TreasureChest
Hallgarth
I'm guessing the hat's weighted? Could be verts weighted to the wrong bones.
TreasureChest
It actually isn't. I was surprised to see that its not, as in Skyrim you do have to rig it to the head bone. I'm guessing it's different with Fallout as it doesn't have any bones in the original .nif file.
