cauble417
I've been foolin round with xedit trying to learn a bit n merge different mods into an overhaul for my game and had alotta luck with small mods but hitting a snag with the larger ones. I managed to combine sk and homemakers keywords to get a menu I prefer over either ones. It works at the moment but I'm stuck with both mods as masters for my file. Doing research today to find out what I can do but figured who better to ask than the nexus community. So any suggestions? Also I've only been able to create esps for the various files but this one I'm looking to make an esm n still unsure on that process, haven't started trying but if u can tell me ull save me a few hours n headaches
lilkandeekid
You could try a merge script to combine the 2,some people had luck using the one for Skyrim at: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/37981/?
mm137
Just go to the .esp, there's a section called File Header. It lists the masters and you can delete them from there.
cauble417
Thank for the input I've used that script n it works great for smaller mods but with these it causes too many conflicts n only combines everything not so wont work for my goal. N just deleting the masters from the header leaves me with an error because its looking for a blank master with no name. Learned a bit bout xedit today tho so im gonna try a few things tonight
JuJooGuppy
When you right click on your new .esm in F04Edit, you can do "clean masters", and this is the right way to remove a master rather than deleting it. However, if you run clean masters, and it doesnt remove the files from being masters, then something somewhere is still referencing the original file, which is why its listed as a master. At least this is my experience. I am sure there is a fast way to track down the reference, too, but I am still learning as well. Hope you figure it out!
