Mod Request: Tape Player

I have recently going over the slim pickings that is the radio mods here at the nexus. The only two variants of radio stations are either the standard track packs (which I love and am redownloading) or the make your own stations that are more for people with a lot of music that they want for their game.

 

I think we should try something different.

 

Why not have a tape or other device player that is built into the pipboys. Devices that can be bought at most stores and specialty stores. As well as found around the wasteland. Now that's just one option.

 

If anyone knows if this has already been sugested then I appologize for double posting. And if what I ask cannot be done, then you may call me a noob for not knowing the in's and out's of New Vegas's radio coding. Otherwise any feedback of useful nature would be appreciated.

The biggest problem we have with radio station type mods is that most of those that are uploaded contain copyrighted material and are immediately taken down to prevent the music industries rabid lawyers from attacking us. If they are flagrant violations, the uploader is banned also.

 

This is in our rules for those that bother to read them.

 

Kids seem to think that music should be free for the taking. (obviously musicians don't need to eat) The music industry seems to think we should pay them every time each individual listens to a track.(we wouldn't want the music company executives to do without any of the luxuries they have become accustomed to would we?) Until we find a happy medium we cannot allow copyrighted music to be uploaded here.

What I meant is already mixed tapes that are filled like the track packs. They have already pre programmed songs that you can access with the modded program. Nothing illegal. Just thinking of another way we can have tracks in the game without having to rely on what we have. If that is against the rules than what you write is acceptable, and I'm being a noob. And for that I apologize.
