Someone could easily use the principle of how you pick up radio stations on the pipboy, a huge dome or bubble that's been placed so that when you walk into the bubble, you got music. You could mimic the direction and speed like Nevada Skies does with it's random weather selection. As far as using something to judge the speed of the wind I'd suggest just making an addition to the HUD, which would include direction and speed. To keep things simple make the formula for wind correction universal for every precision rifle (sniper.) The directions would be simple; left, right, down-range (the direction you are shooting), or up-range (opposite of direction you are shooting.) For down-range your bullet would be pushed down slightly, for up-range the bullet would be lifted up. Wind speeds could top out at about 40MPH, and the corrections could be as follows: LEFT OR RIGHT WIND ONLY ( Opposite of wind direction ) 0 MPH to 5 MPH [ 2 clicks ] 6 MPH to 10 MPH [ 4 clicks ] 11 MPH to 15 MPH [ 6 clicks ] 16 MPH to 20 MPH [ 8 clicks ] DOWN OR UP RANGE ONLY ( Opposite of wind direction ) 0 MPH to 5 MPH [ 1 click ] 6 MPH to 10 MPH [ 2 clicks ] 11 MPH to 15 MPH [ 3 clicks ] 16 MPH to 20 MPH [ 4 clicks ] I'm sure you get the point by now, and I realize that taking on this task is VERY complex, the mechanics that would be involved alone are above my head lol. But I know for a fact that if someone does get it working, they'll be famous and not on the Nexus sites alone. But anyway, that's just one idea that I had. AFTER THOUGHT: If someone could just make a small 24X24 grid that started at the barrel of the rifle and went straight for about 600-800 meters ( IN GAME) , that would work absolutely perfectly for this mod. All someone would have to do is have the "bullet" automatically placed in the center of the grid, and once someone walks through a "wind bubble" apply whatever random values there are to that bullet thereby changing where it will impact (actually hit.) I never use the shift button so that would be a good place to put it :D Another request would be a moderately difficult one, but more than likely simple. I like the fact that there are .50 Caliber Machine guns and so many more BULKY and LONG weapons, however, hip firing is not a possibility with those types of anti-personnel and anti material rifles. I'd like to see an actual tripod attached to the weaponry. And as we all know, one person can not carry an 80 pound weapons system. What I would suggest is writing a script or however you make prerequisites, to only allow you to EQUIP and FIRE the system if you have both pieces in your inventory, but also allow you to give your companion the tripod. What I'm trying to say is this: The part you have in your inventory is the ENTIRE gun as it would look when in use, but your companion has the activator or the script to allow you to use it, there would be an assigned weight but no texture or missing part. Kind of like Boone's "One for My Baby" quest. His beret was the activator in order to have someone killed. I hope those who read this understand it, I tried to explain it as easily as I could. For this one I'd suggest just using NVSE to display this: [ DRINK ] , [ URINATE ] , or [ DEFECATE ] <--------- last one is to poop ( sorry for the silly word, it's better than profanity though. ) It might not make sense to remove all of his clothing but I wouldn't know how else to get around the look of messing in your pants when you sat down. And for the HUD I would suggest just using URI and DEF for the warning sign. Thanks for those who are reading this, I hope at least one of these is turned into an awesome mod.
