Qistina
I know from guides and forums, mostly people will play Weapon and Shield Warrior as tank. But i don't and never play as tank. I know maybe it sound weird but it is. Mostly people will use Dual Wield or Two Handed as damage dealers but Weapon and Shield also can do the same in a sake of game playing. I am not talking about maximize or minimize things but as for the sake of a game. Personally, i see Weapon and Shield Warrior fit the fantasy theme of this game especially if play as Human Noble. What i do is maximize strength for damage modifier, that is all. Dexterity is just enough for talent requirement or maybe add more as see fit (such as for chance to hit and defense rating). Constitution 20 is enough but can be add more for bonus. I love persuasion so in invest in Cunning too and maximize Coercion. Cunning also contribute to armor penetration so it is not wrong in anyway to invest there. Weapon and Shield have no direct armor penetration talents. Will power is as enough as can use offensive skills repeatedly. Shield Wall will be activated all the time and this will reduce damage, that is why must boost up strength. Too bad Weapon and Shield defensive talents are not synergy with each other, when use Shield Wall we will forget Shield Defense. The same if we have Shield Tactic it will replace Shield Block. Shield Defense and Shield Block only useful for early game. Shield Cover is totally useless. Luckily all 4 offensive talents are useful. Bash is for dispatching enemy, useful when facing two or more enemies, quickly dispatch one then focus on another. Shield Pummel to stun enemy and do damage. Overpower is the easiest way to shatter petrified or frozen enemy. And Assault is the main damage dealing skill. The game play will be simple, all other 8 talents are defensive in nature, passive and sustainable, we need only to use 4 offensive talents. As for specialization, Templar and Berserker is more fitting. Templar is for against mages and Berserker for boost damage. good side :- have good defense against missiles. Archers are most annoying enemy in the game- have good defense in melee fighting- easy offensive talents to use with synergy- cannot be flanked in melee - easy playing with many passive and sustainable defensive talents bad side- not as an excellent damage dealer compared with other type of warrior- some talents are either not used or only good in early game, so they are wasted - have no direct armor penetration talent, must invest in Cunning for that- less style of fighting Edited April 29, 2011 by Qistina
