xtoxm
hey guys, sorry if this is a bit of a newbie question but i have downloaded the mod nevada skies and the recomended NVSE and installed them all fine on FOMM but every time i try and start a new game (dont have any existing ones im litrally brand new) it comes up with "nevada skies unable to find NVSE and will no function properly" but there both installed and load up fine, and before anyone asks i have looked around and i do have the in game community thing enabled in steam! is it just a conflict of mods? or have i done something wrong? cheers! skyline99
From my knowledge: NVSE shouldn't be installed with FOMM. Instead, you need to manually install it by opening up the .zip and copying and pasting all of the files to your game's root folder, not your data folder. It's most likely that installing it through FOMM makes it go to your data folder, which is the incorrect directory.

skyline99
how would one go about finding the games root folder on steam? EDIT: thank you by the way!! The "root" folder, is just another term for the folder that is named after the game. The default directory is: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas That's for 64-bit. For 32-bit, it's most likely: C:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\fallout new vegas Remember to remove NVSE from FOMM first before manually installing it. skyline99
The latest version is Beta 10, which can be found here. Just for future reference: Whenever there's a new patch for New Vegas, there's usually a new version of NVSE. Around patch time, you usually can find when it updates here.
