Ithlia
Hi, I'm not sure if this is the correct place to put this, but I'll try anyway, Yesterday when I was writing a message to someone, I don't have a clue what I did, but now my message window vanishes, the whole box. Every time I try to type something, or click on it anywhere, the whole thing vanishes. Anyone have a clue what I did, or better yet, how to fix it? Thanks edit: I forgot to add that I can still type a message and it will post, but I can't see what I'm typing. Its very irritating. I've had to write in notepad then copy past my message over. Telyn
This just happened to me, too. I can type a few words and then the message entry field turns black. Cannot highlight the existing text but it's there, just as you describe. For me it only happens in mail, not in forum posts. I'm using IE 9. Ithlia
Yep, forum posts are fine. It's just the message mail thing. I'm also using IE 9 but I didn't have problems untill yesterday. Glad I'm not alone heh I thought it was something I did.
Telyn
Have deleted cookies and when that didn't work, I purged flash cookies also. No luck. Scrolling up or down sometimes causes the text to show up briefly again but if I click, box goes black again. Do you mind if I PM you? I think I have a workaround but I want to make sure the receiver gets an email with no strange problems.
Ithlia
I don't mind at all :-) This is really a pain because the mail thing is the main way I talk to people on this site.
Telyn
For those who may be affected by this issue, Ithlia and I have confirmed that if you switch the site skin to the white option, this problem does not occur and the receiver will get a normal readable PM. If you experience any problems with the white skin on the forums, just revert to the dark skin. I have occasionally had some html issues with the white skin when editing forum posts while using IE 9. You can switch skins easily by using the menu at the bottom left of the page, next to the language menu item. Hope this workaround helps someone. :)
