Lyed Posted May 1, 2011 Share Posted May 1, 2011 Hi all, (sorry if my english is bad, not my native language) First i thanks to the community modders, i really enjoy Oblivion thx to them. Now to work, my question concerns the PC animations, precisely when u cast a spell. Vanilla animation is .... well it's vanilla.Yesterday i downloaded HM (hentai mania 1), thx to all the modder that permit it to exist, i relly love it. So the mod works fine no worry, it adds many new animations to my character (for those who don't know... HM isn't a sexual mod at all, it shouldn't be in the addult-content category for me but nvm it doesn't matter) , so the animations was about attack, jump, etc... When playing in the HM's dungeon i noticed : HM's NPC (and ONLY them not random wizards in the wood) got a nicer animation when they cast a spell, actually i noticed 2 different animations. So i got the same animation as them for my female character concerning blade attack and move... all, BUT NOT THEIR CAST's animation.It disturb me i play a battlemage and i WANT these anims. So i come to request ur help, i never touch mods more than installing them and read readme files. But even if i'm a zero in that i search a bit and i found this : In HM files there is a folder "specialanims" in the meshes folder, i guess my new animes and those of HM's NPC come from there ? in that folder there are 3 files "castself.kf" / "casttouch.kf" / "casttarget.kf", i guess these are the anims i'm searching. All the others animations in the folder seems concerning the ones who work on my character as than HM's NPC. (attack, jump, etc...) ( I'm trying to provide as many information as i can to those who would be kind enought to help me :) ) So my question is : does someone know how to make these animation work on my character too ? or this is the mod's author choice and i can't change that ? is this a bug ? a conflict with another mod ?(i have no anim mod after specialanims.esp in my load order) Since this "issue" disturb me i'm triyin to get more inform on how the mods work and how i can change them. But i fear doing mistakes and as i see in tutorial it'll took me weeks before i can learn enough. So i hope someone got an answer. fore Posted May 2, 2011 Share Posted May 2, 2011 Open an .esp of your choice (don't forget to make it the active file), or make a new one. Open up player in the NPC window. Open the "Animations" tab. There you find all standard animations with ticked boxes, and available specialanims (the ones which are in the specialanims folder) with un-ticked boxes in front of their names. Click the ones you want, and your character will use it. You can preview the animation, when you click "Full" (to watch the whole character) and the name of the amimation (NOT it's box).
