faffman
For those who haven't played MGS3: Snake Eater, in that game you have different camouflage suits that work differently in different environments. Green suits that work well in forests and on grassy plains, beige ones that hide you well in deserts and on craggy mountains, and so forth. I think someone requested something like this for Skyrim a year back or so, can't remember. Thinking back to that request, wouldn't that be a fun little thing to have? Say you had different sets of light armour, in different colour schemes, that hides you better or worse depending on where in Skyrim (or Solstheim) you are. So on the plains of Whiterun, say you have an armour set the same colour of the grass and bushes, possibly even the rocks, and when you sneak, you are harder to detect from a certain distance. I'm thinking a Chameleon effect, where if you wear the cuirass, you gain 40% Chameleon, and the gloves, helmet and boots give 20% each, so you cap out at 100% at a certain distance, in other words full invisibility, making for great sniping opportunities. But if they come too close, you're suddenly down to 0% Chameleon. I don't want to decide every detail myself, but I'm imagining something along those lines. Also, since it depends on the environment, I'm fairly sure scripts are nescessary, not to mention all the armour meshes/textures that need to be done. Just hoping for the best, kudos for reading. Fenryr3001
There is no way to detect which ground texture you are on,but I think there is a way to detect which hold you are in,although I could be mistaken. So it could only be hold specific. Caerulean
I can't help you with that, sorry, but there's a similar race mod which allows the player character to hide/camouflage in the shadows. Ceymer - Shadow Elf race mod, I think. But yeah, good luck with your mod request.

Frostfall works the same, doesn't it?
