By "greaves", do you mean "gauntlets"?

 

Not sure how it's set up currently...Take a look (in NIFSkope) at an existing gauntlet mesh. If it has one for each hand, it should be possible to copy and paste from one set to another. If not, then it's probably mirroring the mesh for the other hand...and there's only one "Hand" slot.

 

Give me a moment, and I'll check it.

 

OK, it does seem that the mesh includes both right and left instances, so it should be possible to make combined sets. Someone else can probably explain how to do this.

I think that the method peregrine proposed doesn't actually give you left and right guantlets, just pre made combinations. That would require modeling and would result in only one combiniation at a time. Morrowind had two different item types for left and right hands. Oblivion just has the one, and thats hard coded.
