urrinor
Hello guys I am asking for help here because I have tried a lot of ways to solve this, but haven't managed to fix it. I hope you people will be able to provide me with some sort of help, I would be very grateful. It is probably fairly simple, but with my knowledge I can't really sort it out. So, I have the so much reported Googly Eyes problem. I realize this is probably due to a conflict with cosmetic mods. Regarding body types, I have Roberts Male Body Replacer, and for face models all that I use is Django's Unique Features... The problem that I get is related to this one, probably.. I previously installed Beautiful People but I deactivated it already (before I put Django's I think), but I am not sure if there are any left over files . I tried using the alternate dunmer eyes, so I placed the texture files in the correct texture folder on the Data folder. I am not sure, for I have not played for some time, but if I recall correctly, everything was working just fine untill I installed Elsweyr Anequina mod, perhaps because of the race added by that mod. I am not sure though, it might have been bugged before. Uninstalled it already though. However, I have tried reinstalling Djangos, rebuilding the bash patch, archive invalidation, checking the CS Face Data (which points the mesh for the imperial default eyes). So, am I correct in assuming this is an incompatibility bettween mesh and texture? I get no errors for any other eye type... This would be much easier to fix if Django's mod worked through a .esp, but since he doesn't... can someone explain me what to do please? :) I would be very grateful for any help! Thanks! bben46
deactivating a mod by unchecking it does not remove it. The meshes and textures will still be loaded and cause problems. Some custom races do make changes to eyes so be sure to remove any of those also. To remove the textures and meshes manually go into the texture and mesh folders and find a subfolder with the name of the mod, MOVE that to a holding folder (so you can put it back later if you need to) If you use either Bain (from Wrye Bash) or OMODs (from OBMM) to install mods it is much easier to remove a mod if needed. Telyn
The issue of googly eyes generally does occur when you have multiple mods that change eyes, although some other cosmetic mods like teeth mods and hair can also do it. The main problem is that there are several custom eye meshes floating around out there, and those will conflict. If you rebuild your bashed patch with Race Records checked, Wrye Bash will attempt to sort eyes and hair by race, which often fixes the problem. It does have limits but it works pretty well. If you are using Cobl, many people have problems with the new race features if they enable them. In some cases it is because they did not download the cosmetic resources it requires, but in other cases it is an eye conflict. If you do have Cobl, you could disable just those features and you do not need to remove the rest of Cobl.
urrinor
Ok guys, thank you very much! ;) I figured I had to remove the eye meshes manually, so I saw the BP archive for which files it added. Deleted them and now it's working just fine! Many thanks! EDIT: I went to check my game and it seems it screwed up every other game race *facepalm*Well, now that I know what it means, I think I will be able to sort it. I guess Beautiful people replaced the vanilla textures with ones appropriated for the BP meshes, so now I have to delete them as well...
