Missing Textures Please Help

Hello all,

I just reinstalled Skyrim and proceeded to add in the mods I wanted before playing. All mods I wanted in, LOOT run for load order, some mods cleaned for ITMs and deleted references, FNIS run, Dual Sheath Redux patched. Game runs perfectly, only all the plants, save tree trunks and pine tree branches, are missing their textures. I have checked through all mods and made sure everything was compatible but I simply cannot figure out the problem is.

Please help

Zach

Mod list and load order in attached txts if it helps.

You're missing meshes, not textures. Try reinstalling the mod.

A conflict won't cause missing textures (let's make sure you're talking about the right thing first-- the above, invisible stuff, is missing meshes. Missing textures look like the object but with a flat black, purple, or bluish texture).

Textures and other stuff like that ("assets") aren't stored in the .esp, which is where compatibility issues happen. If your assets conflict, the most that will happen is one mod will overwrite the other and its textures/meshes/whatever will be what you see in game. Assets are either loose files with a file structure starting in a "data" folder, or they're packed in .bsas (bethesda software archive, think of them like bethesda's special brand of .zip files just for assets). So if you have purple/black missing textures, you're missing assets, your assets are somehow corrupt, or your mods are referencing an asset that doesn't exist (really the same thing as the first but I mean like, it references a texture that exists almost correctly but has a typo or something). If you've ever gotten the mod to work before the last is not the case.

Try reinstalling your mods/redownloading (in the unlikely event your got a corrupt DL). Do you use NMM or MO? If you use MO, controlling what overwrites is much easier. It can also unpack your .bsas automatically if you enable that, so you see the loose files for all your mods and can pick and choose what pieces of what mods overwrite. Overall you have a lot more control over assets than in NMM. Here's a little bit about that http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3763460-you-mod-the-game-for-years-but/ if you're interested/already use MO and don't know how to check that stuff, but I totally get that some people just want the simpler choice.

-------- Just looked at your .txt file and you don't have any landscape mods (unless I missed it). This means you're missing VANILLA assets.

Verify your assets with Steam. Right click the game in your library, properties, local files, verify. If you're running a pirated copy obviously you can't do that, it's corrupt, and I couldn't help you even if I wanted to.

Thanks so much for the info I'll definitely look into that.

I did already realize since posting this that it was a vanilla file issue and so I had done a clean reinstall of Skyrim but when I ran the fresh vanilla version the same missing textures on all those trees and plants came up. This is really confusing me because I never had this issue before and really, reinstalling the game should've fixed this.

If you know anywhere I may be able to look for some answers (I've searched around and done some googling but can't seem to find anyone who has actually had this problem) I'd be very grateful. Any further ideas are of course also greatly appreciated :)
