McclaudEagle
Hi. I'm trying to make a new landscape for FNV, but the GECK refuses to save my Heightmap. Every time I click on save, it just does nothing. Anyone able to help me out?
Nimboss
Hi, Can you tell a bit more how far you got and what you try to save? It will help me or even better someone that exactly know what you must do, to help you out :-) There are not many full fledged howto's on this subject, but this for instance got me on right way for some of the basic requirements for a new worldspace. note: it's still a WIP. Creating a Custom Worldspace for Fallout 3 (WIP) It tells some steps before you even can start make hightmaps. I have not done new worldspaces for FNV but did some test worlds for FO3 and they worked.
McclaudEagle
I created a new worldspace and began using the Heightmap Editor for it. When I created a few hills, I clicked on Save. When I did so, the save bar came up, but it wasn't saving, even after many minutes of waiting. The GECK however was still working at the time. Nimboss
Strange, I made a real silly little new worldspace island with a door, height painted a bit and saved with no fuzz. Closed GECK. Started GECK again, opened the mod turned into height map editing, moved around with some hight pixels again and saved and it did save. Only differ without knowing is that I started with adding a door (to get a fixed height point), turn on wireframe and editing the first ground mass above water directly in the world editor, but this should not matter. Anyhow you might have done alright, GECK is infamous to be unpredictable when creating new worldspaces. Save often and keep backups is the advice I have seen a lot when touching this subject. :-)
