Requesting a House Mod

(Ok, first off, if I somehow missed a good house then my apologies for cluttering the forum with a redundant thread. I've spent a great deal of time searching Planet Elder Scrolls, Oblivion Real Estate and the TES Nexus without any luck.)

I am looking for someone who can make a house for me, according to some fairly specific ideas. This is intended to be a display house...not a storage house, someplace to actually set out and display all the neat stuff I find in my wanderings throughout the world. Now that that is out of the way, on to the specifics!

Size/Layout: For the most part I leave this up to anyone who might take on the task. My only requirement is that it be big as I have a large amount of stuff I wish to display.

Location: Preferably somewhere either in a city or on the edge of the province since those are the least likely to conflict with any of the mods I have running.

Decor/Furnishings/Details: A large number of pedestals for mannequins (I have a mannequin mod already), a large number of weapon displays as well as a good bit of empty wall space for mounting shields. Also a library/alchemy lab with a number of shelves and tables would be nice.

One of the big things, it needs to be well lit, not realistically lit with torches and shadows but fully lit with actual light. If you need an idea of what I mean then wander over to the Morrowind mods and take a look at Mormegil Manor.

Wow, I certainly went on for a bit. Seems good to know what I want out of the house though. If anyone actually decides to take on the request and wants more details then just let me know, Thanks :)

if you need a place to display all your stuff there are some castle mods you can use. I know one that has a HUGE display room I will look for the name of the mod and then send another reply

It doesn't have EVERYTHING you wanted but you can try mine. I'ts fairly new so you might have missed it in your search. I too, know the frustrations of trying to find just the right house. If this mod doesn't tickle your fancy i suggest doing what I did and making your own house. After all, the BEST mod is the one you make yourself.

Oddly enough, Greenview is one of the ones I liked best, but the lack of mannequins was a big point against it along with one or 2 other small things. I did keep it though to use as a Companion house.

I actually am going to make an attempt at making my own now that I seem to have the CS working properly. Now I just need to figure out where they hid all the room pieces. So far all I've found is complete building interiors which does not help at all :)

Well if it makes it easier for you just take Greenview, open up CS and select my ESP and make it active, go in and throw out the crap you don't like and put in what you do like. I'm not worried about anyone changing my mod, in fact I hope they do. Would love to see variations of it. All I ask is if it's uploaded I get some credit.

As far as finding the pieces used to build the houses I have some bad news for you. You won't find any of any real use. Most all come already pre-assembled. You can however grab a lot from here and over at Oblivion Real Estate. Look for "modders resourses"

oblivionmonk makes some really good pieces. Check his. But you'll need to learn how to get the resources into the CS to use them. It's not like using mods in Oblivion.

Hope this helps.

Really? Wow, that seems like a rather lazy move on Bethseda's part.

I may make the addition to Greenview since I still need somewhere to connect my rooms to, I managed to figure out my issue with the castle parts and actually have the first room built (Slightly annoyed that I couldn't find any doors to fit the doorways but the one I enlarged and duplicated actually looks fairly decent)
