Dontino
Is there a quick and/or painless way to add a map marker following an NPC? I added an NPC that travels, and I want to be able to track their movement. Instructions or a link to a tutorial would be nice. Cheers.

DeusXMachina
I don't know how it's done, but I know a mod which works this way :) Have a look at The sentient weapon, there the questgiver is a wandering smith, and you can "see" him wander along the road between Leyawiin and Bravil on your map. Perhaps you can get some hints from this file.

Excellent, I'll check it out, thanks.I believe I'm good at picking bits of info out of premade stuff, so this could help alot :D

This probably would work a bit better than a travel marker since it's using something already present for reasons it was designed for.

If the journal entry is at stage 0, it should be added right away. If it doesn't, add another quest stage at 5, make a journal entry at 5, and use a simple quest script (or a trigger involving that NPC to set the stage to 5. I'll try to figure out that other bit you suggested later >.>
Dontino
Well, I used an activator to start the quest when the player enters Bruma, but the marker points at nothing. I set the target to the person who starts in Bruma and is supposed to travel to IC Palace and back but the marker just points at some random empty spot, and is only green while in Bruma. Anyone know what's going on?

Anyone know what's going on?Do you see the NPC it's supposed to be pointing at in the world, or is the NPC also nowhere to be found (you made the packaging, you should know where he should be and when (could temportarily change their package conditions to be broken so that they will stay in the same spot all the time) ). If the NPC isn't activated, or dead, it would cause the marker to point to a spot where the NPC last was. Try disabling the mod, autosaving, then enabling the mod and loading from that save.
