Jamie767Craig
Hi All, I have been struggling for months on trying to convert Asian Boys Tera mod recently but sadly I cant figure out how to convert the Meshes to cbbe TBBP or HDT. I had wanted it to be body slide enabled and converted to my HDT bouncy physics lol there are some that have but he recently added some newer stuff and I cant figure it out. I was hoping to later ask Enmasse if they would let me use the newer stuff they had and eventually build upon this mod by adding many more armors from castanic, human, and highelf that recently added in game including some of the costumes. But in order to do that I have to figure out how to convert these to body slide with the breast and bum physics. once I can figure that out or if someone would be able to help me with that I can see about trying to get some newer stuff from Enmasse and include more to this mod. I love TERA and hate to see this die in the background. Sincerely JC P.S. if possible and there are easier tools through which I can convert these meshes please provide the links or places to get them this is important at least to me thank you again. Definetly gonna try to get there costumes and armors, once this is figured out maybe even try to make a new mod using Brawler and Gunner weapons with their own animations once I figure it out. robjunk
I just finished converting all of the TERA armours to HDT with UNP; it's probably more difficult to switch to an entirely different body, but essentially the steps in Outfit Studio were:Start a project, choose your reference body weight 100 (this is the NIF for your actual player / target body), choose the 100 weight armour ("_1") to model from file. CTRL-click all TERA shapes, right-click: Move, then position the pieces over your reference body. Delete the TERA body shape. Right-click: Duplicate your reference body. I recommend always using something short and easy, like "Body" Use the shaping tools to shrink / expand / smooth all of the armour to fit over the reference body and eliminate clipping. Click on the Bones tab on the right and use CTRL-click to select the four breast and butt bones (e.g. NPC L Butt) Click back to the meshes tab, CTRL-click to select the Shapes to apply the weights too (all shapes except your reference and duplicate body), right-click: Copy Selected Weights Export to NIF Repeat above for the 0 weight reference body and files. Test in-game, see if clipping occurs when bouncing physics are happening (crouching is a good test for this), and adjust either the armour or the underlying body to reduce this. Sometimes I make armour pieces bigger, sometimes I make the body smaller, it all depends on the shapes and your taste. Also test in-between weights, your armour may not clip at weights 0 and 100 but may at 25 or 75 or 50.There may be additional steps because you're using CBBE. There are also the obvious requirements, like the appropriate skeletons supporting HDT / TBBP must be installed, your reference body must support that skeleton, etc. I found that deciding whether to do both breast and butt (for steel chestplates, eg.) is the most time-consuming part, and removing or adjusting weights is time-consuming because it requires a lot of testing. For me, I usually didn't have to change the base body, so I could decide not to copy weights to the body and pieces. For you, with duplicating the reference body the weights will already be applied, so you may need to use the weight painter on your duplicated body if you decide not to implement bounce in a body region. FYI, I'm now into re-working some of the armour textures to do things like add translucency to certain robes to produce a shimmery, partially sheer effect. I found your post when looking for steps on adding glow (e.g. the Elven Scaled armour looks like the gems should glow). TERA armour really has a lot of possibilities. I'm really interested in seeing the new armour sets, so definitely let us know if you get it from Enmasse.
Jamie767Craig
As of now I have not heard anything so I will be asking them again as I Love the armor and outfits they have and if you played recently there is a s#*! ton and I want to get the best looking ones to do this. Here are the problems 1.) I am noobish when it comes to nif scope. 2.) gimp is super confusing. 3.) i have satellite internet which makes watching video tutorials almost impossible. 4.) Time! It would take me a lot of time to do this besides college and work. 5.)This is a personal mod but if i cant get it to how i want then yea Ill share. guaranteed I wont do it for UNP or anything else. Cause this is a pain in the ass lol.
