IgnorantBeast101
Well, I suddenly got this idea not too long ago. I started thinking about Halo Reach / ODST and the Firefight Mode. And then, it hit me: Would it be possible for someone to make an area or arena for a fighting mode similar to Firefight in Halo for Oblivion? Basically, it would be like this. I have two options for it. 1 being that someone creates a new, large area in Oblivion.or 2: someone makes a big arena-type building with a makeshift environment. Option 1: The area is enclosed with a big wall. The wall is circular (sort of like a round cage) and it has two doors: 1 for entering and 1 for exiting. It would include trees, rocks, bridges, ruins, etc. just like in the open Oblivion area. Option 2: The arena would be about twice the size of the IC arena, but no audience or cages or such things. It would have trees, rocks, etc. for a makeshift outside area. I'll give more details and specifications if someone will gladly accept this request. :D Edited May 4, 2011 by IgnorantBeast101
Toftaps
Incidentally, you could also do an interior region for this as well, like a cave or large dungeon room with side passages or maybe a dreamworld-esque floating-in-space-ruin with multiple platforms/small areas. Selecting what enemies to face would be fun as well and would make choosing a good location on the map important when fighting different monster types, for example; the player chooses to fight a "skeleton horde" which is a mix of both melee and archer skeletons, so picking a location out in the open would make it easy for the archers to pick you off but picking a closed-in location would make it easier for the melee skellies to swarm you. GODSBANE123456
Ignorantbeast, i am one step ahead of you, well about 10 months ahead of you. except for the fact that i stopped production of my mod, please check my most recent topic. Oh and it is completely possible, the hitch i ran into was when the character died from being stormed by about 75 deadra that were 25 times stronger than normal... I took that part out... Well, my plan was for someone to create the main details (area, gold, etc) while I gave dialogue and rules and such. Also, if you read the post I said there would be a certain amount of enemies aloud per round in the battle. 75 daedra wouldn't happen. XD that would suck. I was also kinda thinking that there could be a shop of some sort which sells custom armor and weapons. It could say OF or something to symbolize the Oblivion Firefight-type mode. GODSBANE123456
Actually, i had it set to where you spawned into the center of the IC Arena, then after a 5 second delay, the first wave(consisting of 2 Scamps) attacks. After you kill both of them, immediately a second wave spawns from a set location of 4 areas, one by the yellow entrance, one by the blue entrance, and one on either side, between the other two spawns. You spawn in the center of the 4 spawns. It was originally supposed to have 40 rounds with each round getting increasingly difficult, with a boss every 5 rounds. It works perfectly, but the project is too daunting for one person to do alone. It can take up to a day or more to prepare each round. The other problem I ran into was that if the player died, I wanted them to spawn back to the location from which they came. That error comes with the internal mechanism of the game and death... I may have just solved my own issue... Time to reinstall Oblivion... Edited May 5, 2011 by GODSBANE123456

GODSBANE123456
I had gone for more than 8 months without playing Oblivion, or modding it, or really for that matter, playing any game. It was taking up too much space on my hard drive, so i decided to uninstall, but i kept all of my old mods so all i have to do is reinstall into the same location. All of the Oblivion stuff that i had on my computer took up over 20GB. But that is beside the point, and yes i have determined how to kill the character yet keep him alive. So I estimate that with no disturbances, I should have a BETA mod up and running with about 10-20 waves in... 30 days. I will try to keep you all posted, but I will do so in a different topic.
