Forced Fable Program Part One

Morning Nexus,

I had a quick question on how I should go about testing my upcoming mod.

First off, I don't have enough friends that play, to allow more than my own physical testing. As a result, I know there are things that I will be missing (mainly because I have been the only one with eyes on this whole time). I still have lighting, and a couple other things to add in the first section of the mod. However, after adding those things, before I began the other sections, or trying to work scripting or voice recording or anything like that, I wanted to have the architecture tested. I am a bit OCD with this stuff, and as such want it to at least look like there was a lot of time taken on it (which there was; I basically want to justify it).

Would it be beneficial to, once I am done with the first part, post the mod so that it can be run through by people with a fine tooth comb, so that the aesthetics and the architecture (to include lighting, and navmesh) are met to a high standard I plan on showing throughout the rest of the mod?

If it is done this way, it will be Part 1/5 that gets posted. That's a lot of parts to be posted for one mod (hence why I ask) but at the same time, it would give the good people here at the Nexus the chance to watch it grow, and throw their own two cents in.

Of course, if suggestions made are more than trivial (and still fit with the story behind the mod itself), I am more than happy to add credit+kudos. It has not posted yet (I have been pulled in several directions over the past couple of weeks). I just wanted some pre-posting advice. Thanks guys!

Quick update:

I have the Reception District nearly complete. Somehow, I managed the move a wall piece just so, and then navmeshed incorrectly, which resulted in my deleting the entire first room's worth of navmesh. Troublesome, but not un-fixable (that is now a word).

I need to bring lighting into the mix, and work on getting a basic NPC to act as a guide (thats only a possibility).

Life update:

I am PCS'ing very soon. I'll be moving around and doing a lot of 'checklist' related items over the next month or two. That will impede a lot in the way of the website, and the Forced Fable Program FO3 mod.

Stay Tuned.

Update:

I have been writing more to figure out exactly how I want this to look, aesthetically. At the moment, I have nearly completed the Reception District, and have already begun working (on paper) the Observation District (think science). While doing that, I will be sketching and detailing out exactly how the power stations on the outside will look (remember, this is my first mod. So what may seem simple to do for a lot of you all, is going to be complicating for me until I get better at it).

Heres the general idea:

The Reception District's front entrance area is actually power distribution center for the entire city. From there, it gets sent out, and then each district is responsible for how that power is regulated for use within their own district. But that initial power has to come from somewhere; the city is too small a place to house something like that. So I figured a power station on the outside, that feeds the energy into the distribution center would fit well.

However, I am divided with how to represent it (also, I have never edited something in the 'outside world' before). So here are the two options I gathered up, and I wanted to see if anyone that may have been following these updates (even in passing) would like to see one or the other:

1) One large power station, with three sections dedicated to generating the power, and an additional 'office' style area at the entrance (like what you have seen before in the game). The base enemy (either leveled, or set to a specific difficulty) here would probably Feral Ghouls, will two or three Glowing Ones (might even add a regular Ghoul as the Boss archetype so the player can get some kind of loot beyond what might already be there, like a key or something).

2) Three separate power stations, smaller than the larger one, with one section for generating power and one section for 'office' type gear. The base enemy here will most likely be Raiders. These will not have boss style enemies, as the player will have to travel a distance between each one, and random occurrences can be aggravating enough.

If no one states an opinion, I'll flip a coin. Remember, 1 would be a large 2 to 3 story building, while 2 is three 1 story buildings.
