Pokepika01
Alright, so this is probably old news to most of you, but I can't for the bloody life of me get archive invalidation to work with the Steam version of Oblivion. I've scoured the net, and nobody seems to have any advice beyond "buy a different version of Oblivion", which isn't very helpful. Any advice? Surilindur
Try resetting the .bsa timestamps. At least OBMM has that feature in it, I am not sure if there are also other tools to do it. The file dates on the Steam version .bsa files are too recent and need to be set to something older for archive invalidation to work. There should be plenty of threads here on Nexus that mention it. I think. Not sure about the rest of the Internet. Hopefully that helps a little.
Pokepika01
Thanks! I completely forgot about the timestamp thing. I used to have a CD copy (died), and I haven't had to invalidate for quite a few years now, so it slipped my mind.
nixnamed
Try resetting the .bsa timestamps.Thank you, necroed because this is still relevant and effective in 2020. It's maybe even more important now. Steam currently dates new installs and reacquired BSA files to this year, which postdates most commonly used oblivion mod files. Additional information: OBMM may need to be run as administrator if used for this task.
