Drewh313
After much search, I have found nary any talk of an in-game id finder for objects. I've used "formID finder" when playing Oblivion. It's handy as hell. (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=16704) So is there some utility which would do the same in fallout? Thanks! :)
Skevitj
Depending on what you want to do, just use the console and GetBaseObject and you'll achieve most of the functionality you're after. I'm assuming you're using FOSE. If you really want to, it wouldn't be too hard to macro it onto a button or button combination and have it generate a message with the object info. Yea, I think I didn't explain myself well. Basically, I'd like to find out which mod put an object into the game world. The oblivion utility I linked allows you to find the exact esp. in game. My oblivion is crammed full of new location mods. Too many to keep track of. I've used the utility to diagnose conflicts. I'd like to find something similar for fallout. Thanks :)
Greslin
You're probably looking for FO3Edit.
carlosjuero
You're probably looking for FO3Edit. FO3Edit does not allow you to identify which mod an in game item belongs to while in the game. The Original Poster is talking about Form ID finder for Oblivion that allowed you to point at a target, open the console, and control + R click to get full information on what mod that item is attached to [along with base ID, editor ID, mesh/texture paths, etc]. I haven't seen anything like that for FO 3 [or NV] OP - likely the only way to figure it out is to do it the hard way; click on the problem item with the console open and get its id, then use FO3Edit to search for that ID to see what mod it is attached to.
