Daedric or Ebony???

Deadric might be stronger, but Ebony is still lighter. Ebony blades and blunt weapons are - if I'm not mistaking - also a bit faster than Deadric weapons.

Both of them have advantages, but I prefer Ebony, since you can still see my characters face, and it looks better.

All Longsword, Shortswords, Daggers, Claymores, Warhammers, Battle Axes and Maces have the same spped and reach. War Axes are also the same in speed and reach, with the exception of elven (shorter, faster). http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Oblivion:Weapons

Ah, yes. I forgot I use a mod a friend of me made once which makes lighter weapons faster. Thanks for correcting me ;)

I'll ask my friend if he still has it. My copy of it was lost when the computer crashed a few months ago. (made a typ-error in my prev post, had to be I used) He might still have the original file. I'll let you know on this forum when I know more.;)

Well, ebony weapons are lighter, but you have to remember that they're "normal weapons", meaning they have no effect on ghosts, wraiths, or the meaniest undead SOBs in Oblivion, Gloom Wraiths  Daedric weapons are heavier, so they do actaully do more damage, but you become fatigued faster.

Sorry, he has deleted the mod as well. :(

It isn't so hard to make, do you have a CS? Just look at 'properties' from weapons, there you can change the speed. It does take some math to calculate the exact speed of a weapon in comparison to its heavier (or lighter) counterparts, but that shouldn't be a problem for you. I think :P
