Ruadhan2300
some may be aware of the playidle function in the console, its commonly used for running pose-animations and the like.one or two of the animations are the violin animations from Fallout 3. in which your character (or the targetted character) will get out a violin and play for a minute or two.what I want to do is create an activator which when used, triggers that animation. the problem is the specific criteria for playing the animation. normally you have to be in third person view, and using the free-cam to have it play...I can set the animation and the free-cam mode with the script functions I know. and possibly even force to third person before that. but I'm not sure how to move the camera somewhere where I'll be able to watch my char play.any suggestions on how I might script it to move the camera to a fixed position and angle? or any alternate ways to do this?one possibility is to lock the player's controls, remove the hud, then place a duplicate of the player (and gear) at a location in view. run the animation on that, and then delete the duplicate, add the hud and unlock the controls when the animation finishes.
