F4SE CustomControlMap.txt Help...

I recently downloaded a mod to enable bullet time for FO4. It had an optional file that allowed me to activate it by use of the VATS button/key.

I use a controller to play fallout 4 on PC so naturally I downloaded the CustomControlMap.txt file for this feature.

Thing is I have no idea how to edit it and after some research I think I may have figured it out but don't want to go through with it in fear of messing something up!

The CCM.txt file is mapped to the default controls for using a controller to play FO4 on PC, which are the same defaults for consoles.

This causes me to be unable to aim since I changed my controls via the in game settings.

I first swapped my bumper/trigger setup:

R2 (Fire) > RB

L2 (ADS) > LB

in turn I also wanted to have my jump button swapped to L2 as I prefer the "Bumper-Jumper" config with any game that allows it.

L2 (VATS) > Y Button (was Jump, now VATS)

Y Button (Jump) > L2 (was VATS, now Jump)

I can no longer ADS as my LB is mapped for VATS due to the CCM.txt being mapped to the default controls.

What I basically want to do is edit the CCM.txt so that it matches the in game controls I set, but I don't know what to do really. I've already posted on the mods page and have had no response. I even messaged the other mod who wrote the CCM.txt and still no reply.

I attached the CCM.txt dunno if that helps any?

First off, get Notepad++ to edit the file in, it will make more sense as the columns will be somewhat arranged.

The first column is the control name.

The second column is the keyboard command, which can be found here https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/windows/desktop/dd375731(v=vs.85).aspx

The third column is mouse controls. Any control listed as 0xff in any of the columns is one that is ignored for that input device.

The fourth column is controller input. I can't find a web page that lists controller input codes, at least not ones that seem to match what is in the control file. You will just have to hunt through the file itself and find the control that is default, and change that code to the one that you want.

The last four columns are some internal settings for F4SE, don't change those.

You might want to look at this thread http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/3644740-hidden-key-bindings/ there is a post there that a user made that has a control text file with their annotations as to what keys do what in the game. You can't use that file directly, it's just a reference.
