Povuholo
The first version of the (OBSE dependent) mod Bodyshapes has been released. This is one of the things that people said would be impossible to do (They/we said the same for mounted combat). The higher your strength, the stronger you look. There's a youtube video too. This was only the first release so there's a lot of room for improvement, but the base is there! (I'm not involved in this project at all, I just saw the thread and wanted to share this)
SickleYield
The first version has been out for a while. I'm waiting for Version 2 since 1 is a)only for males and b) only for the player character. Breeze has been promising the next version will make it possible to assign different bodies (and armor!) to different races, which would be wildly exciting. (I'm not involved in this project at all, I just saw the thread and wanted to share this)I believe it was only said impossible before OBSE added the whole mesh replacement thing. Now it's just a matter of painstakingly creating the dozens of models to swap out for each and every armor, for each and every variation of that armor. Not impossible, just not particularly worth while in the grand scheme of things. Unless they've somehow managed to make armors and clothing auto adjust to conform to any body type. In which case, why don't they put all that effort into doing a BB for oblivion so that there aren't people making stuff for 3+ body standards? SickleYield
Nope, Bodyshapes involves a very large Oblivion install with a total set of clothing and armor folders for every body shape you use. I would love to see .egms that could be used for clothing, but at present it's not possible to use such a system on rigged meshes. Personally, I already have a full BAB install for another project I was working on, so I wouldn't mind setting that up to go with all the Fantasy Figures items I have (which will soon have a complete set of armors and clothes). Even just having those two would make a large difference to me in terms of immersion and gameplay. Even if there were .egms for bodies, there is never going to be a Better Bodies project for Oblivion. There are too many different takes and opinions on the subject that already have representation in body projects.
Povuholo
Another thing people have been asking for and what they thought wouldn't be possible (before the OBSE project started) has been released today (and this one is new :P): Locational Damage.
