If by chance it is windows display properties menu, then according to diag.txt you are using the default display driver the comes with premium edition, you will need to run windows update and only update the display software they have for your system. DO NOT allow them to update the sound drivers, that will disable your mixer controls on that chip set. Experience overrules what they have. Once you have done this. it should give you a better selection o display settings. Most of all, the ones the games require which you do not have apparently.
