inotgood
Okay, after playing Vanilla-Oblivion for about 40 hours, I decided to install the latest patch 1.20416. I got it to install successfully and I continued my save files. This is where the problem kicks in. There are these random texture problems EVERYWHERE. Going near an NPC will have these flashing textures flying everywhere. Ive never had any problems what so ever with my unpatched Oblivion. Sry there is no screen shot but it looks light rays of light coming out randomly in weird colors of pink, purple, black, red etc. There are also problems with some NPC's having blank eyes and missing shields textures. This is not to due any problem with my mods at all. Ive tested every single one of my mods, they are not the cause of the problem. if this is needed my specs are: Windows Vista Home Premium, AMD Dual Core Processors 4000+ 2.1Ghz, 256 ATI Radeon 1300xPRO, 1GB RAM. Ive always played Oblivion on high and never had any problems until the new patch was installed. Thanks in advance for any help.
Sypron
Did this happen immediatley after patching? or some time after. And were any mods installed in that time?
inotgood
Straight after patching and all the mods I were using were the mods i had before patching so this texture problem wasn't really directly related to the mods. If your really needed I mostly used mods like the 24 hour arena, arena loot, alchemy ingredients, enemy health colored, a different UI, book jackets, no more annoying messages, most of my mods were like those. The only mods that actually affected the texture in any way was phinix water fix, natural environments, and a color map mod.
