kennymcg1995
Hey guys, I just recently started modding Oblivion. I'm making an armory sort of thing for a house of mine, but I for the life of me can't get weapons to stay on weapon racks. Swords, bows, etc. I could just put them on tables or in chests if I have to, but I think the racks look a bit better. Is there some way to rotate them in CS so that they'll actually stay in place in-game? Any help or tips would be much appreciated.
bben46
Check this and see if it is what you want. Decorator assistant. Allows placing thing in game and then locking them in place. Great for when you have a new trophy and want to hang it on the wall, put it on a shelf or ... place it in a rack.http://tesnexus.com/downloads/search.php
kennymcg1995
Yeah, that's exactly what I need! Thanks!
wetblanket
Another option (even though Decorators Assistant works great) is Loths Better Weapon Racks. These work much better than the vanilla racks. If you want an in-game solution then Imperial Furniture Renovated includes Loth's Racks.
LegacyCloud
This is an issue I just addressed in my new mod 'Castle Legacy'... I used a couple of different methods to achieve the display effect: 1) for vanilla items I created a storage/display system which automatically displays weapons held within a specific chest 2) for all non-vanilly items I cannibalised a script first created by Lem for his mod 'The Rift' which uses triggers to 'lock' any item into a given position, giving the illusion that it is on display there. I'd suggest downloading either of these mods (obviously I'd prefer you downloaded mine!) and check out the scripts used in them with the Construction Set Hope this helps
