Pipdiphoneynutcherio
im having a problem with my Oblivion controls. for some reason my character keeps getting locked in a particular direction of movement. i tried changing keyboards but the problem appears to be in the game, not the hardware. i turned off all my mods and the glitch was still present, so i know its nothing to do with mods. i am currently reinstalling Oblivion. if you have any information on this glitch or others like it it would be most helpful. Guest
I am having the same problem. I also tried removing my mods and trying new hardware. It seems the game is stuck running up along the Y axis. if i invert it then it goes down. If i switch the move/look then i just move forward. I can play like this but id rather find the fix. I however am not going to reinstall. Maybe there's an .ini file that i can delete or edit to maybe fix this? -PLEASE REPLY-
ItWotBeSoonBeforeLong
I know if you press Q you will keep moving.Make sure you are pressing W to move forward, not Q.
Guest
I'm currently facing the same problem as the other 2 people, and this is NOT a caps lock or Q key error! it just all of the sudden for no apparrent (to me) reason stops running properly, as in the character continuously runs SLOWLY on a set path, like in slow motion, and he does not stop. The only way i could remedy this is by restarting oblivion when it happens, but so far the character hits the bug anyways. Does anybody have any idea how to fix this??? artificeren
Same problem here. :(Any solutions yet?
g8rk0k
I think the same thing is happening to me, only to enemies and any NPC's (including companions) that are presently engaged in combat. Their feet will come up and they will move very slowly, often striking at the air and hitting nothing. I however can move normaly.
HellKnightX88
It's a typical gamepad bug with OB but I didn't know it can get transfered over to the mouse&keyboard controls o_0
bben46
I remember seeing this identical problem on the forum several months ago. I don't remember if they found a cure, or just a work around. You might try looking back a few months to see what was done then.
Roxdad
Think i found a work around for this problem as i had it to.What i did was go into control options and on the mouse snesitivity screen click on the swap stick controls and that fixed it.hope this helps people out.:)I was looking for a solution to this "slow motion" issue, and your post reminded me that I had changed the sensitivity of my mouse, just before this started happening to my game... Thanks for your post.******* ***** Just tried a couple of things to fix my issue, which is that my charicter is moving in slo-motion while everything else (rian, NPC's, grass...) moves in regular time. So I tried the "swap stick control" idea, along with changing the mouse sensitivity and lowering the resolution of my game... (btw I am on a high end machine, and runnig a lot of mods). Now I seem to be moving about 3/4 speed, as opposed to 1/4, so I did get some improvement, but not a "fix."
