jallard
Hi, all, Got a question for ya?!? I have installed and activated Eve Companion which requires the RR Companion Vault. Now, here is my question: When I check the "Load Order" it wants Eve's mod to load before the RR Companion Vault: Whereas, when I initiate the FNVEdit it comes up with an error, because it wants the RR Companion Vault to load first. Therefore, which one is right? Thank you. Jallard
skyline99
FNVEdit would be correct in this case. If you're using the Load Order report in FOMM, that uses the masterlist that is created from BOSS as its source as to where things should go. Sometimes, things like this go overlooked so it is up to users to find out what is wrong with the masterlist and how it's sorted. As a masterlist updater for BOSS, on the New Vegas side, I'll see about fixing it in the next revision. Edit: Just to make my life easier: Which plugin names do both Eve Companion and RR Companions Vault use respectively, and which plugins does Eve require to work? Since I am a novice with mods and the FOMM I am not sure what you are asking in the way of plugins for both mods? The other thing that has been happening, as well, is when my PC and crew get into Primm and leave the Vicky and Vance Casino, if I pause and remain idle for even a moment my PC begins too sink beneath the ground: and until I press "W" to walk my PC stays gone. At first I was certain that it had to do with these two mods, discussed above: However, after uninstalling and reinstalling everything it hasn't done it again -- with the exception of the "Load Order" and the "FNVEdit" difference. If you could get back to me and let me know what plugins to look for I will get back to you.
jallard
Here is what it says in the RR Companion Vault description: Notes This mod is based on a merger of the latest version of the Fallout 3 RR Companions Vault (currently 5.63) and updated code by ttomwv to support some new features of Fallout: New Vegas. I have also placed several of the companions that come with the RR Companions Vault in locations in Goodsprings; Rick is located in the Prospector Saloon and Sandra is in the General Store. Jill can be found in the Sheriff's Office in Primm. At this time, Vault 121 (the replacement for the original Vault 1) is not available for use, but will soon be activated. The RR Companions Vault was created by NosRhyfelwr Permission was given for this conversion to New Vegas. The RR Mod was created to let users easily create custom companions for fallout. Description This mod is a companion system designed to make it easy for users to create companions. It comes with a few companions and a tutorial to make it easy to create your own custom companions. For private use or to upload for others to use. Files RR Companions VaultThe main file that holds the companion system and companions. Just extract this to your steam/steamapps/common/fallout new vegas/data folder. Enable the file in the Fallout New vegas launcher. Note:The 1.3 version fixes a bug where when you told a companion to stay and the player sat and stood back up. The companion would start following again without an order being given. The default companion package for waiting when not recruited was changed to a sanbox package and the area was increased. Some code was added to fix an issue where the companions would not follow a player when changing cells. If the companion was searching for an enemy or in combat. As for the Eve Mod it seems to only require the RR Command Vault to work.
jallard
I no more than finished typing this reply, went back to playing the game --the current saved game outside of the Vicky and Vance Casino and just to see I stayed idle of about 30 seconds and watched my PC slowly disappear beneath the ground. I uninstalled both the RR Companion Vault and the Eve companion mod, deleted saves back prior to entering Primm, loaded the save and stood idle for over a minute and my PC remained above ground. Now, I will go back into Primm and see if it happens again. Just so you know too, I also have picked up Misty and a companion outside of Primm. Perhaps it could be her mod as well, which requires NVSE --which I have v.10?!?

Even standing near the fence on the North side of Primm --coming in from the railroad tracks, if I save the game, close it out and restart that save my PC will immediately sink beneath the ground. Does anyone have any idea what is causing this? Your help in this matter will be most appreciative. In the meantime, I am going back to play Dragon Age Origins. It seems to be a little more stable with mods added. Thank you.

Required plugins are the names of the plugins that that plugin requires. For instance, all mods require the FalloutNV.esm plugin to work. You can find this list by looking at the file header for the plugins in either the G.E.C.K, FOMM, or FNVEdit. As for your other issue, do you have any mods in particular that affect Primm in any such way? Edited May 11, 2011 by skyline99

Try updating it and see if works out. If FOMM can't update, update using BOSS, which is where FOMM gets its sorting list form. Does the issue exist across several characters or just one character in particular? Does this still exist even if you deactivate all of your .esp's and .esm's? It could just be a bad save somewhere down the line if it happened recently... but that seems unlikely. Edited May 11, 2011 by skyline99

I went in and completely deleted Misty, Sunny, Veronica and Sonia and unchecked all the rest with the exception of the presets, hair, eyes and makeup and the animations. First of all, when I recruited Sunny, I had her leave the dog behind. So, when I restarted the game, in Primm, after deleting the aforementioned files, there stood Veronica, Sunny and her dog. I deleted that save, backed up restarted the game outside of Primm and again Sunny, the dog and Veronica are still present?
