CarrotFerret
I've been working on a relatively small town mod for Bloodmoon. I'm just about finished wrapping up all the fine details, I save, and then turn off my computer. Next time I turn it on though, boom, the ESP doesn't load. Hell, just opening the construction set gives the warning "File 'himmelryn.esp' is not a valid TES file". Well this isn't the first time this has happened to me. So I do what I did last time, rename pukcab into backup.esp. Same problem. Now when I load up the construction set I see "File 'backup.esp' is not a valid TES file". So what gives? What causes this problem so I can try to prevent it in the future? Is there anything I can do to fix my mod, like tools or some other utilities? It's small but that doesn't mean I haven't put a lot of time into making making lots of finer details... it'd be disappointing to lose that progress... RubberMan01
Re-install the game and make sure you have UAC disabled.
