I thought it'd be col if the college was in a kind of pocket dimention of Oblivion, like Paradise from Oblivion. It'd have a Daedric Fort theme and have Dremora guards. All of the NPCs from the College would be moved here and would be able to host the questline. The actual College would be blocked off or gone and Faralda would be standing guard at a kind of portal to the College.
