Romance

I always figured it is better to have two people who have their own full and satisfying lives and simply spend time with each other because they enjoy each other. I find it to be a much more healthy dynamic than two people who are trying to use someone else to complete them.

I like dating girls that have busy lives going to med school or being successful in their career or traveling and studying art or spending time with their family and having a rich full life not centered around me. Just because she is spending 2 weeks studying for finals and I have spent the last 3 weeks working all the time trying to start my business, doesn't mean that we like or dislike each other any more.

I don't believe in the concept of constant relationship maintenance.

Being 46, married with 5 kids now 23 years, I haven't got much of a choice there, do I.

A man does not leave his family behind, he fight for what he has, until he either wins, or drops dead.

You have a choice when you are playing Fallout 4!

Wait a second here.
1) I figured IMMERSION would be a logical thing for FO4.

2) Read above.

3) Though they are not real humans (different universe/reality/whateverthylikes) they share our emotion, intelligence and moral. Thus, this should, IMHO, be implemented as such as well. And for those that see it different, add some hookers.

Aside, and FYI, this thread is named romance, not porn or sex topic, heheheh...

Well, one does not really exist without the other.

The other then, CAN exist without the one...

God what a confusing world this is. XD

But let's be a second serious: a "real romance" does include sex, obviously, but sex would not per se mean a relationship.

Once someone says romance, then i think of a full-fledged relationship, not a FLIRT, which is something ENTIRELY different, I guess.

Well to me it is, anyway.

All is relative, and in the eye of the beholder, ainnit?

Bethesda's concept of sex is actually very simple. Making virtual love has nothing to do with the individual looks and starts with a flirt on different levels, that is talking nice and, if one is charismatic enough, even nicer. Sometimes it is just chit chat and people part ways again, sometimes it ends in a one-night stand, with emphasis on 'one'. Those players that don't understand that one time is the opposite of anytime have to look into the sour face of their object of interest that ain't interested anymore, 'cause sex must be green and quite obviously with the desperate protagonist it had nothing. Cha, s*** happens, huh. Bogus love one gets elsewhere, it is for sale. I remember that hookers in Fallout 3 were called Tenpenny slotmachines back then. A romance is a quite a different matter though. For Bethesda it is the final stage of flirting, and that's eventually practical within a simplifying game but actually somewhat helpless for love is not to be gained if one works hard enough on it, not a function of understanding, compliments or attentions I get from a boy - that's the secret of best friendship. Love just happens, often it is clear after the first encounter, you simply know it already long before you have the guts to tell it the chosen one. That's the moment of truth, chiil'dren. One has to take the risk and might easily get a rebuff, thus perhaps even a broken heart for some time. Whateva, love is a hardcoded feeling that ain't to be simulated by a program. Forget to maintain love and your lover will fade away sooner or later in a more or less painful event, he could have fallen in love again with somebody else. Bad luck. Humans ain't monogamous - they are monogamish, so when the relationship gets stunt and chance comes... they might cheat on you, simply because their natural looking for love mechanism gets unlocked again. In so far Bethesda has made a nice fun job, and I don't blame the apparently male designers for it.
