my fallout .ini.(new vegas) file is corupted

Er... if you were missing the file then it would be recreated from the fallout_default.ini that is located in the game install folder. If the fallout.ini file [in My Documents\My Games\FalloutNV] is corrupted then just delete it and the game will recreate the default ini file.

 

If your fallout_default.ini is corrupted or missing then that is a whole different kettle of fish and either need to reinstall or hope someone will be kindhearted and provide you with the full text of the base file.

 

Edit: Using the steam Verify the Game cache - it will re-download and replace the fallout_default.ini if it is corrupted or missing. Then you can delete the one located in your save folder so it can be recreated.
