Getting really desperate.

i am having infinite troubles with NVSE, i install it correctly and when i try to run it gives me the application load error 65432(steam error), i try restating steam and it doesn't work, i try using the 4GB fix and it says im missing the libogg.dll and says i should reinstall the program to fix it and it does nothing, tried validating and nope nothing, the weird thing is that i used to run NVSe and the 4GB enabled just fine with mods, i have no idea what changed, any help is incredibly appreciated.

EDIT: i have found the fnv4GB log in the FNV directory and this was the last part:
Loader:Error getting number of modules loadeded in child process Only a part of the request ReadProcessMemory or WriteProcessMemory was included. Loader: Couldn't find handle to Kernel32 in child process. Assuming its the same as this one Loader: Injecting dll loader code into child process. Failed to write 0x3D bytes at 0xFFFA0000 in child process. Acess Denied. Loader: Failed to write to memory of child process - Acess Denied.

It is also interesting to note that if i do the installation process of NVSE and FNV4GB and then rename the folder Fallout New Vegas encplzru(yes i put the correct ID on the the shortcut and yes i ran the game with the default launcher once) to Fallout New Vegas and then use the Verify game Cache on steam, it tells me that 471 files are gone and will be reaccquired and then creates another New Vegas Folder with encplzru on it.

If anyone could help me with this i would be extremely grateful.

Address 0xFFFA0000 is at the extreme end of memory. If it's trying to write memory there, there is a good chance it is wrapping around into low memory, which is in use by the OS. As might that area of memory. So, how much System RAM do you actually have? The "4GB fix" is not a universal solution. It has specific hardware and software requirements.

Re-installing is not the same as verifying. One reason to re-install (wipe out the previous install and start over from scratch) is to move the game to a different location. For instance, you should not install games into the "C:\Program Files" directory trees. See this wiki article.

Why are you renaming the "Fallout New Vegas" folder? I would expect all sorts of things to get confused if you did. The game's root folder name tends to be hardcoded.

I have 8GB of RAM and i apologize for the mistake but yes i did verify and reinstall new vegas, as well as reinstalled steam and it did not work and no my games are not in program files, they are in my C: Disk on a folder called games, steam is also installed in that folder and as i have stated i used to play 4GB and NVSE just fine, although if i remember correctly i was still using windows 8 and new vegas was still in program files directory, if it would help i can post the nvse logs here and i am very grateful for the reply as i have posted this in several forums and really desperate for an answer.

With 8GB of RAM and the game outside of "C:\Program Files", you shouldn't be having problems. Might need to see the full logs later, but let's try to avoid filling the thread with them for the moment. As you seem to be aware, mostly the problem will be at the end of the log, but not always.

"application load error 65432(steam error)" means the Steam Client is not running. You have to start the Steam Client first and run in "offline mode". This will in turn open the "Library" window for FNV, but you should not launch the game from there. Instead, just minimize that window, and then run FNV4GB.EXE.

I don't know where the error about "missing the libogg.dll" comes from. That is normally "ogg" sound file related, but my game doesn't have it and uses "libvorbis.dll", which is an "ogg vorbis" library. Unless it was in a log file? If you believe it to be from the "4GB fix", can you please provide the link to where you downloaded this "fix file" so I can look at it.

I'm trying to gather information to see if anything can explain the issue. Please respond to each question individually for clarity, instead of running all the responses together in one sentence.

Hmm. I don't have a FNV4GB.log file, so it must only be generated when there are problems. What is the first error in that log?

"Was still using Windows 8" implies you have upgraded to Windows 10? If so, are you running the game in a compatibility mode and if so which one?

Are you using NVSE version 5.0 Beta 3? Did you install it into the "Data" folder so you have a "Data\NVSE\Plugins" folder and a "nvse_config.ini" file in the "Data\NVSE" folder?

Are you using a shortcut to launch it, or clicking on the EXE directly?

Have you tried to launch the FNV4GB.EXE with "run as Administrator" property? This is most easily setup in a shortcut.

Did you rename the game folder from "Fallout New Vegas"? If so, where are the instructions you followed in doing so? This is leaving me with the impression that you are not playing the game using English as the language. That can be a complication we will need to research.

Thank you again for the reply i will try to answer everything seperately

1. The first error in the log is this one: Loader:Error getting number of modules loadeded in child process only a part of the request ReadProcessMemory or WriteProcessMemory was concluded.

2. I don't believe i am running the game in compatibility mode but i went to check it out and apparently i have windows 8 as the compatibilty mode and yes i upgraded to windows 10

3. Yes i am using the beta version although i used the other one and i still get the same error, and i don't believe i installed it on data folder, since the install instructions say the files should go into de main directory and no i do not have a plugins file nor the ini you mentioned

4.Using the shortcut with the correct id

5.Yes i have run it with run as administrator as a property and it did not work

6. and i tried to run it with the folder name changed but it didn't fix anything so i just reinstalled it and left the folder alone, i have the encplzru version and the game is in english.

P.S I would like to mention that i contacted the person who made the 4GBFNV and he said that the kernel32 error as something with my antivirus preventing access to some special files and again i cannot thank you enough for the time you have granted me in order to help me.

Okay, now I'm getting a clearer picture of your environment. The "English Polish Czech Russian (ENPLCZRU)" version of FNV has a different Steam AppID than the English only release. The clarifies that is a "european region" release. I would not suggest renaming the FNV folder unless your Steam version instructions tell you to do so.

I personally am holding off on Win10 during this massive disguised beta test, so I am going on reports online. There can be problems with already installed games when you upgrade to Win10, but as you are re-installing that should not be an issue as you are correctly using Win8 compatibility mode.

Troubleshooting such problems are a matter of eliminating possible causes one by one until you find the real culprit. It's a tedious and time consuming process, but it works. Right now I am suspecting that a bad NVSE install is causing the 4GB error. But as the author of 4GB pointed out, your AV may also be contributing, so turn it off before launching the game. As you are now playing "offline", you should be reasonably safe. Disable your wi-fi if you can as well. Just don't forget to turn them back on when you are done. (Well, enable the wi-fi again only if you really need it.)

Use the NVSE 5.0 Beta 3 version. The EXE and DLLs go into the "FalloutNV" folder. But the 7z package also includes a "Data" subfolder, which creates the "Data\nvse" subfolder and that should contain the "nvse_config.testAnim" and "TestAnim.txt" files. So you need to unpack that "Data" subfolder into the "FalloutNV" folder as well. (You don't need the "src" folder.) The "plugins" subfolder and INI file will get created when you add your first mod that requires a NVSE plugin.

Then I suggest you try just running the nvse_loader.exe directly, without the 4GB executable. After, check the "nvse_loader.log" and "nvse.log" files in "FalloutNV" for errors. They should not abruptly stop. The "loader" will have "calling winmain" as the last line when successful. The "nvse.log" will end with "init complete" and then perhaps some 7 more lines about reading the "autosave.fos" file.

Once you get NVSE working correctly, then we can eliminate that as the cause of 4GB failing.

1. As you instructed i turned off my antivirus and proceeded to download nvse again, put the exe and dlls as well as the Data folder in the main directory and turned off my wifi.

2. I then tried to run nvse_loader.exe and still got the same error, i went to check and i have a nvse_loader.log and a nvse_steam_loader.log, i do not have a nvse.log even when i ran the game with a mod that need nvse.

3. As you said the plugins folder was created although there is no nvse.ini.

4. https://gyazo.com/5279dfa4241aca6e47a99b19efe64433 (nvse_loader.log)

5. https://gyazo.com/1ce5fa428da4da59836bfd52b0d3993e (nvse_steam_loader.log)

P.S I forgot to mention but i have the ultimate version of new vegas and have all the dlcs active and it might be that my antivirus is messing with the proper installation of the actual game (although im just speculating)

As always i must express my thanks on how you're dedicating time to help me and just want to remind you that you're an awesome guy.

As suspected, your NVSE is not loading correctly. (Thanks for posting the logs offsite.) The "nvse_steam_loader.log" in particular is not complete. In fact it is barely getting started and definitely does not end properly. Do you get any "Windows Error" messages? If so, we need to check the "Event View" for "Application" errors.

So, go to the nvse site, download the beta v5b3 version, but instead of the "alternate loader" from the "Troubleshooting / FAQ" section near the bottom of the page, use this one which is newer and has been updated. Install the beta and the alternate loader files.

Follow the installation instructions on that nvse site page. You don't want to be launching through Steam's standard UI. Initially just use the "nvse_loader.exe" (to exclude the 4GB issues). At this point we just want to get NVSE functional. Again, check the logs.

1. No i do not get any Windows Error messages, just the steam error

2. The link you provided goes to the 4GB FNV page, i just want to confirm that you put the correct link.

Re 1. Does Steam have any error messages in the Windows "Application Errors" Event Log?

Re 2. Yes, it does go to the FNV4GB page. But there are two: the one linked on the NVSE site, and the newer, updated one I linked. I'm successfully using the latter, so let's stick with it.

Note that for testing we are not using the FNV4GB loader. That is not related to getting NVSE working correctly. It only comes into play when we want the 4GB loader to recognize and load NVSE.
