Argol
Always in RPGs I try to build a Melee/magic "Battle mage" class This is easily accomplished on games like Morrowind and Oblivion. Very doable on Demon's souls and possible on some others. Now I know there is Arcane warrior but that is more towards the Tank role. The best way of explaining my battle mage is with Avatar: the last airbender. Basically my character I tend to role play as is an elemantal mage with strong fire and storm magic. She is also trained in martial arts so she can act as a normal mage and fling spells. fight someone hand to hand or mix it up avatar style with a mixture of both at once. Sync182
Not entirely sure what you're wanting there, but for a melee-style mage the Arcane Warrior is the best way to go. Take a swag of Primal spells for sheer offensive firepower and you're set. Don't forget Mind Blast, Drain Life, and the chain to Crushing Prison. Focus on Magic and Willpower (duh! ;) ), with some Cunning and Dexterity thrown in. Use Morrigan and/or Wynne for healing (Wynne is better at healing by far, but Morrigan can be specced to give a good balance of healing and offence). Fatigue will be your biggest problem when you're using the Arcane Warrior's "battle mode" (and the fact that you can deal more damage with your staff than you can with a sword  ), but the defensive benefits will be worth it. Hope that helps you out a little... :) Edited May 13, 2011 by Sync182

I know there is a mod class called the chantry monk but that is focused on unarmed with buffs. so basically a mix of chantry monk and mage. A light weight, fast damage dealer that can stay ranged or move in close. One of bioware's great games will show what I mean. the fighting starts at about 20 seconds in and the melee style is show at about 2:40 Edited May 13, 2011 by Argol
