Hi folks.

This is Shrapna of the Blackrose clan. I've been trying to learn how to use Blender and other 3D meshing software, and I am trying to build mods for oblivion, Dragon age, all kinds of stuff that I play. To make a long story short, I have a project in mind that I think a lot of folks would be interested in the end result. I am going to be building a set of male to female armor, both massively different in appearance, the way garments in Oblivion are so easily different between male and female. This armor is going to be loosely and faithfully based and designed to mirror Gundams, but as armor bits, the female version though, that will be VERY skimpy, even revealing bikini armor with boots, gloves, helm and maybe wings and weapon if the gundam is appropriate to it, and all winged armors will have flight scripts, if possible. Male armors will be more covering unless you get the slutman variants. I would be VERY happy for any and all help I can get on this project, particularly Texturing. I have a LONG way to go with that. Plus, positive ideas and suggestions, always welcome.

Sincerely,

Shrapna.

Hi,

From a fellow noob when it comes to textures, I'd suggest checking out the textures and texture-wrapping for some of the vanilla armour's using something like DDS Converter. Then you can see how the texture files are laid out so they look right when applied to the meshes.

I'd also suggest that when you place the items in game don't just drop them in a container in the middle of a city, either add them to one of the vendor's sell lists or hide them throughout one of the dungeon levels in the game so people actually have to do something in order to earn your armours.

Hope this helps
